Hatching Dragon version 2 – Copper Patina
$55.00
This is another batch of our famous Copper Patina Hatching Dragons (Hatching Version 2 – about 3″ tall). When we first moved to Oregon from California, we couldn’t get the castings to come out perfectly. So many came out with pinholes and watermarks that we invented this color to accept life’s randomness, enhance the defects, and make them all beautiful. These are dragons leftover from that glorious time.
Each one of these is slightly different, because of different defects, and the way the blue/green patina was applied. They have a dark antique, metallic gold trim and are shaded with a touch of purple interference paint. They have metallic teal glass eyes and teal-colored jewels set in their foreheads.
Melody calls this an “unsigned random edition” – this batch with copper colored eggs released April 19, 2021 – One per customer please.
These are individually hand-painted so markings may vary slightly. You may find that different lighting displays the colors differently as well. This is a cast gypsum reproduction of an original sculpture by Melody Peña produced by Windstone Editions. This is an unsigned, limited production piece. For indoor display only.
