Unfortunately, e-bay is a double-edged sword. If quantities were restricted to 1 or 2, people couldn’t buy extras for re-sale. But, people also could not buy extras for our friends on the forum or at home…
Lady brooklyn, I do the same thing with my husband!
Honey, where did that dragon come from?
Oh, I bought it before we were married. It’s been in storage all this time. Still moving stuff in from my dad’s place…
Sure.
I hang out on this forum cause it reminds me that I’m not alone – and not crazy. My husband just doesn’t share or understand the thrill of unwrapping a brand new Windstone.
But, you know, my complaining about the postman worked. My two Ki-rins just showed up and they are even more beautiful in person than I expected. And, bigger.
Yes, Ski, I agree with you – the postman is definitely slow. I have 7 windstones from all over the continent coming in the post right now and it has been 2-3 weeks of waiting. I’m totally on edge. I can’t leave my computer cuz I want a griffin chick. I can’t leave my house because I don’t want to miss a parcel delivery. My husband thinks I have a problem, an addiction. And, I’m beginning to wonder if I have one too.
I checked out the large white wizard. He has some flea bites on the bottom and some paint rubs near the middle of the the rock base he is standing on. He could be easily touched up with brown paint. No chips, but lots of dust. The bottom felt pad is in good condition. No tag and no box. It was actually $175 CAN. The seller does not ship, but I can buy it and send it to you. Let me know if you want him. Again, he is closed now until Saturday. And, I think he may waive the GST and we have no PST here in Alberta.
I didn’t even notice you were in Canada! Shipping should be cheaper as well. I will check it’s condition tomorrow and let you know. But, also, this seller’s store is only open on the weekends. If I check the condition tomorrow, you’ll have to wait till next Saturday to actually get it.
If I remember correctly, the one here is $180 CAN so that is about $153 US. I would have to go there double check the price & condition. If you are interested in him, let me know.
After you find out how much the wizard is there, let me know. We have a large white wizard here, too, that may be cheaper. I just didn’t think anyone would want him.
Thanks for letting me know, I ‘ll switch to blowing air!
So, I try to lightly wipe down my windstones once a year. I just use a paper towel with a light spritz of plain old water. Everything went fine, till I got to my ruby lap dragon. When I wiped him down, I had red/pink staining on my paper towel. Is this common with the rubies? I just want to know that I’m not damaging my dragon and won’t eventually wipe all the colour accents off. This hasn’t happened to any of my other colours of dragons. Any thoughts or suggestions…
February 27, 2007 at 7:06 pm in reply to: How much should a mother coiled dragon cost in peacock? #544800I just found one for $54.00 and wasn’t sure, with shipping she is $80. Crossing my fingers that she arrives in one piece!

I sent the emp today. Let me know when he arrives. And, I hope you post a pic of him when you’ve fixed him up. I would like to see how he turns out.
He wanted $240 and I got him down to $180. So that is about $152.50 US. Is this a good deal? I hope so. I know that last one went for $299US. And, it costs me about $35US more to get anything to Canada.
After much looking, I didn’t find the feet. I did package him up. It seem so weird to package so safely something so broken. Anyways, I PM my payment details.
I do, I bought two when she listed them. It was my first purchase after my broken feet emperor and thought that I better order two and hope one gets here okay. They both arrived in perfect condition – after all they are from the factory. I sold one on ebay for $255. I’ve kept the other but I’m not sure if he’s staying. I have a thing where all my dragons need to be in families and he doesn’t match any of my families. He looks like an orphan. So, I either buy him a mother and father or sell him. Not sure what to do, still pondering…
Sorry! I’ve been super busy with meetings all last night and today and haven’t had a chance to look for the feet. But, I’ll do it tonight for sure.
But, I have to tell someone, on the way home from my last meeting I decided to stop into our local flea market. I haven’t been there in years. But, I found a NM Emerald/Jade Oriental Sun Dragon. He only had a teensy tiny chip on the bottom of him by his gold claw. And he was dirty! I was so giddy to find him in my little area! It took all my will power to be cool and casual while I bargained with this flea market fella.
I haven’t been able to tell anyone because no one is answering their phones. I had to post my excitement here. I don’t even know what I’m going to do with him. But, I’ve cleaned him up and touched up the bottom with a touch of gold paint and he looks great!
