      Paypal protection does cover Canada, but this particular seller won’t be covered by them. The seller does not have feedback higher than 50 and, of the feedback, it is not at least 98% positive. Below is the quote from paypal:

      EBay Items Eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection. Every item on eBay (except Live Auctions and vehicles) that meets the above requirements is eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection up to $200.00 USD (Basic Tier Coverage Amount), but items are only eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection up to $2,000.00 USD (Top Tier Coverage Amount) and should be identified as eligible items in the eBay listing if:

      seller’s eBay feedback rating is at least 50;
      At least 98% of the seller’s eBay feedback is positive;
      The seller has a Verified Premier or Verified Business Account in good standing;
      The listing was on an eligible eBay site (eBay.com and certain other eBay sites self identified as such)
      PayPal is listed as an acceptable payment method

        I had asked them about local pickup since we are in the same city and it would save shipping costs and potential postal damage. I offered to pick them up or meet him somewhere and I would pay either in cash or paypal.

        The husband e-mailed me back and said he is selling these for his wife and would not allow pick up.

        It was a bit short and unpolite.

        I decided not to bid because I don’t trust someone who won’t allow items like these to be picked up in the same neighborhood without giving a valid reason.

            I’m sure everyone has seen the OW on ebay. Based on his picture, do you think he is emerald or jade?

            He is listed by Dragon696969, sorry don’t know how to create a link.

              Romeodanny, I picked the wizard up. Here are some pictures.

              I’ll pack him up tight tonight and ship him off tomorrow.

                I completely understand your pain. I had the same thing happen to me with an emperor. I was so upset I sent an e-mail to the seller. But, I also called her. There is a way to get a sellers phone number from ebay for cases like this. She refunded me the entire dragon and shipping once I called her.

                I’d ask for a refund less the value of the emerald hatching dragon. And, a refund of all shipping.

                  Thanks for the enabling everyone!

                  I don’t keep them all on the table. The dragons go in my grand piano room, which is just a big glass room / cabinet where we keep everything breakable. You can see all the dragons through the walls.

                  But, the orientals stay in the center of the table. They are our centerpiece in our asian inspired dining room. They are quite happy there – it’s like being home in China for them. They are so spoiled!

                      Yay! A family picture! I’m sure everyone here understands my happiness at this photo. My husband thinks I’m nuts – “Honey, they are not real…”

                      Of course, I told him I need to take the photo for insurance purposes.

                      My windstone family makes me so happy.

                          I don’t even understand how they got the chick so quick to list it so soon! And, the seller is not on the the purchasers list either, so how did they get one? I’m a little stumped.

                              I’m going to post pictures once all the dragons get here. Big family shot. I’m huge on families. I like my dragons to co-ordinate.

                              I’m also going to figure out which are orphans and don’t quite belong.

                                It is a good thing there is always more Windstones. It’s a comforting thought. We don’t always win. I did manage to get chicks this time, but we missed the pearl mother. I thought about it, answered the phone, and they were gone. I’m still hoping they’ll pop up again. Funny thing is, it is a comfort to me when BT wins some when I’ve missed it. At least I know I can buy from them and have is shipped safely to Canada. When I buy from someone else, I always worry that it won’t arrive in one piece.

                                  Thanks, everyone! My husband just saw them and he shook his head at me, but he likes them! Now we have a complete family of Ki-rins!
