Limited Production Brown Griffin Chicks are now available from our store to match the old retired brown Male Griffins (and to match the limited production brown Female Griffins). The chicks are meant to match both the plain winged and the stripy winged versions of the brown griffins. Melody says they match both races “because they have dinky little wings that don’t show much stripes” (the stripes must appear in their adult plumage).

Oooops: Shipment of White Rising Spectral Dragons will be delayed until next week when Melody returns to sign the Letters of Authenticity that go with them! I thought we had the letters all ready but now I don’t find any. I’m sorry! I thank you for your patience.

There will be more Pink Curled dragons! If you would like to be emailed when they are back in stock please email susie@windstoneeditions.com with “Pink Curled Waiting List” in the subject and I will send you a message when we have the next batch. You can also check the Windstone Store Discussion forum for announcements concerning them. Please be patient while we wait for more to hatch and grow to suitable adoption size…

Hi! We have a supply of White Rising Spectral dragons back in the store again. I have emailed everyone who was on my waiting list for them. You may place your orders now! 😉

Hi. I thought I’d better say something about the Pink Curled dragons! Yes, we had a small number of them (less dragons than the number of names I had on my waiting list) and they went into the store and were sold quickly. Those whose names are on my waiting list for Pink Curled and who did not manage to buy one: I have moved you to my New Waiting List for Pink Curled dragons! Again, anyone who wants a Pink Curled dragon can email me and I will place you on the waiting list to be emailed when they are in stock again. Please put Pink Curled Waiting List in the subject line! I do not know when more will be ready – right now we have no “naked” curled dragons ready to paint so I am guessing it will be a little while.

Thanks for posting it as a separate discussion. We have no answer for you at this time – but it’s something for us to consider in the future!

Just a reminder that Monday, October 8, 2007, is a U.S. holiday and we won’t be shipping anything through the Post Office that day. We will however be shipping via UPS that day.

I don’t think it’s realistically feasible for Windstone to offer layaway right now (not enough time, not enough people to handle paperwork and payments, not enough space to store layaway items).

Nambroth is totally right. I wouldn’t expect layaway in the future either. Sorry.

Mimitrek has got the answer all right! We are not set up to process credit cards directly. Credit card payments can be made through Paypal. Processing credit cards directly would entail a lot of expenses and additional labor that we aren’t currently prepared to handle – at this point accepting credit card payments through Paypal is much more cost effective. Maybe this will change in the future, but that is probably a long way off. I appologize for any inconvenience this causes.

                                Dear Forum members:

We keep trying to improve our on-line store and I thought that these helpful hints for ordering would be, well, helpful! Please feel free to let me know if there is anything I’ve missed that should be added to the list – or let me know if anything I’ve written here doesn’t make any sense. I will keep updating this section to make using our store easier for you. If you are a dealer, those orders are not placed through the on-line store, please give us a call or email. Thank you!

Helpful stuff for ordering through our on-line store as of August 2014:

Shipping Time: We ship orders Monday through Friday, we do not ship orders on Saturday or Sunday. When possible, we ship orders on the same day or the day next business day after the order is received. This is not always possible, particularly on Mondays and if the store is very busy as it is when we are taking orders for a “Grab Bag” item. Please note that the shipping times shown when you choose a shipping method in the store are generated by the Post Office website, or the UPS website, not by us, and they are approximate and do not take into account our rural location or the time of day you are placing the order. If choosing a domestic Post Office service, anticipate that it will take at least a day longer than shown. If you are choosing an International Post Office service, please be aware that First Class International services are not trackable and no time frame is guaranteed, it is possible for these to take a long time to travel to you and if they never arrive we cannot take responsibility. You may prefer to use Priority Mail for International shipments. If you need an item to reach it’s destination by a certain date, please put a note in the Customer Notes part of your order to let us know what date it needs to arrive by and we will do the best we can. You may also email notes and questions about shipping directly to service@windstoneeditions.com. We are not in the office on Saturday and Sunday.

Credit cards: We are not set up process credit cards directly (even if you call us with your order), however you may use your credit card to make a payment through Paypal in our on-line store. For more details about using Paypal, please visit http://www.paypal.com. At this time we can only accept payment through Paypal (or credit card via Paypal) and all payments must be in U.S. dollars. When your choose “credit card” as your option of payment in our store, you will go to a page on the Paypal website. If you do not have a Paypal account, click on the bit that says something like “Don’t have a Paypal account?” and you will be able to pay with a credit card through Paypal as a “guest” or “visitor”. Please note that paypal will want the address you put into their site to match your credit card billing address. If you are having the package shipped to another address do not worry, we try to ship to the address that you type into OUR website as the shipping address when you place your order.

Shipping address: When you are “checking out” please check that your shipping address is correct. We ship to the shipping address that you have on your order (not the address that you have in your Paypal account). You may have an item shipped to someone else.
Customer Notes: Remember that you can communicate any special instructions to us in the “Customer Notes” when you place your order. This is a perfect place to tell us that the order is a birthday gift which must reach your Aunt Blanche by a certain date or to sign “Love Fuzzy”. If you tell us that an item is a gift, we will not enclose any pricing.

Order number: If you are contacting us about an order placed through the store, please provide the order number to make it easier for us to find it. The name under which you ordered is helpful too! Forum names are not attached to orders at all.

Notification of shipping: When we have shipped an order, we change the status to “complete” and our shopping cart software emails you a message that the order is complete – this is usually the day or the day after the package shipped. When we generate a shipping label for a USPS Priority Mail package through Paypal, you will receive an email from paypal with the USPS tracking number. When we ship a UPS package you will receive a Quantum Ship Notification email from UPS with the tracking number. Both types of automatic email may get caught in your spam filter, so if you are not receiving them, check your junk mail box. When we ship items USPS First Class International we try to include the customs document number on the status “complete” message – however that number does not tell you very much about where an item is during its travels and we might forget to include it.

Please feel free to email service@windstoneeditions.com or call us at 1 (800) 982-4464 with any questions. We are in the office Monday-Friday from about 9 to 5:30.

I have a question also….I noticed that in the DRAGON section there is still an area for the hatching kinglet but when I click on it it states that there are no items available, so I was wondering if there are going to be more hatching kinglets in a different color or if the brown hatching kinglet will ever come back?

We don’t know if or when there will be more Hatching Kinglets – we only know there are none available now. 🙂 (However there will probably not be more brown ones) To find out if and when there might be more in other colors you’ll have to “Ask Melody” on the forum.
