My horse’s name is “Cowboy” silly name for a horse! but he came with it. I used to call him “Dragon” because if he wasn’t draggin’ his butt he was trying to fly. 🙂
Cowboy was a challenge when I first got him. He had some serious bad manners. I went riding alone in a strange area and I was coming up across a field out of a ditch about to cross the road when he came up out of the ditch he began bucking, this is on hard road. He bucked and at the last buck I lost it and off I went into the road. I was wearing one of those claw clips in my hair and when I hit the road I hit butt first then bounced and hit my head and elbow on the road. The clip shattered and went into my head and punctured a artieral bleeder? broke my tail bone and and bone briused my elbow. I just layed there in the middle of the road afraid to move. A car stopped when they saw Cowboy come out bucking and watched me hit the asphalt. The man that was driving got out and came over to me I stood on shakey legs and he asked if I was okay I said yea can you help me get back on him and I turned to reach for Cowboy’s reins. The guy said lady your bleeding, I said I’ll be okay I just need to get on him. The guy grabbed my shoulder and spun me around and I was spraying blood out of my head! So his wife jumed out of the car and wrapped a baby diper around my head and asked me where I lived. Well we had just moved here and I was so disoriented I couldn’t remember where I lived. So they put me in their car and hubby stays with my horse and thier two year old little girl is sceaming at the blood I’m trying to tell her it’s okay. So after me making several mistakes on getting me home we arrive at my inlaws as my neice was coming out with her horse to find me. So they help me in the house and Beth my neice rides with the lady back to my horse. I stumbled into the kitchen and called my mother inlaw. I then put my head under the faucet to wash some of the blood off. I am still spraying blood at this point. ( now what you don’t know is my husband and I where living in a tent in my inlaws yard while waiting for our house to sell in Austin)
So my husbands intire family show up and my MIL starts screaming and so they called my husband who was at the laundry mat washing clothes. So he throws all the sopping wet laundry in the car and rushed home. So off to the hospital where they tell hubby I need a blood transfusion and I said NO! (no insurance at that time) they did a cat scan of my whole body found the busted tail bone and luckly no skull fractures. At that time my hair was way past my hips. The doctor comes in and instead of doing a cosmetic hair cut she just hacked it. So then the wack job called doctor started squeezing the wound and yep I’m still spraying blood. The nurse comes in with numbs it stuff and the doctor didn’t use it! she stiched it up with no pain killer! So they send me home with blood caked in my hair. My husband and I get back to sister in laws house and they have locked us out! so I have to sleep in a tent covered in my own blood and a broke tail bone.
The next morning hubby rents a hotel room and I have to soak my head wash, then soak some more, after about 2 hours we finally got all the blood out of my hair. I had just started my new job and so I went in Monday banged up and weak, I had the Vet check my sutures because one felt wierd. The Stupid doctor had sutured my hair not the dang wound!
So long story short Cowboy has been nothing but a challange and I have learned never to let my guard down. On my birthday two years ago he threw me and broke my wrist and thumb. He never leaves me after I go off, he almost looks a little shocked when I hit the ground. I have had him 4 years and he’s now 15 years old. I have become a better rider and he has become a better horse but I will NEVER put one of those clips in my hair and I will never ride with out my helment! I get made fun of by the cowboys out here I ride with but I will not risk my head again!

I don’t have a horse, but with two big dogs it sure seems like it. *shudders @ land mines in the back yard* 😯 *cough* 😳

I have 7 dogs and they are all HUGE none are under 50lbs and one weighs in at 122lbs. I go through 50lbs of dog food a week. Talk about LAND MINES! between the horses and the dogs I shovel alot of $tuff 🙂 I have to burn the manure. I usually bury the dog waste.

I am owned by a black and white paint gelding who is my best friend and my joy. He truly is a gift from God for on him I am free. Well I rode several hours yesterday and today I took both my horse and my husbands, my husbands mare needs alot of work so I decided to bite the bullet and start working on her reining, teaching her to move and obey leg and rein signals. I rode her two hours or so and she was doing so well! My hubby showed up and I told him to ride my horse for a while. We had a nice long ride in the woods. So long wonderful day at the very end hubby wants to ride his mare and I decide to ride my horse bareback. Let me tell ya when you ride bareback you use muscles you never knew you had! so someone grab some advil and some muscle rub while I go stand in the hottest shower I can stand!! I am SSSSOOOOO SORE!!!!

and here is the picture of my beloved boy where he’s pulled the screens of the window and sticks his head in looking for me! please note my Pena prints 🙂

well I am going to bury myself here…I have to tell ya what lives in my area and around me are nothing but white trash. I don’t ride my horse around here anymore it’s gotten to scary and there is a meth house behind us and down the road a bit. Animals out here are disposable. They get puppies and after they loose that cuteness they get dumped down at the river about a mile from my house. I used to ride down there but after one day finding several shot dogs I won’t ride here any more. I trailer my horse 10 miles up to my church where I ride on thier property they have 110 acres.
I did go and talk to the owners of the little horse and she said her husband would be by around lunch to get him well it’s 5:00 and he’s still here. I will call animal control Monday and see what I can do.

As far as I know they where given the pony well actually he’s a minature horse. They know NOTHING about horses. I tried to talk to the wife last night and explain to her that studs isolated will start being aggressive with people and other animals. They have a very neglected little girl and I tried to explain that the horse may be small but he can hurt a kid. That he would try to dominate her and since he decided to try and mount me! NASTY booger! That he would eventually become nasty to them. I suggested gelding him she looked at me like she had no clue.
To top it all off one of her many unnutered, unspayed dogs had a litter of puppies and last litter I watched die one by one. The momma dog has the worst case of mange and now she’s feeding three pups.
I am not kiding thier yard looks like a garbage dump! there are fast food bags and garbage all over the yard, junk every where it really looks like when they clean out the car or house it goes on the ground. It’s like something breaks they throw it out the front door. There are so many cars in varing degrees of dismatle that it really looks like a dump.
I just really wish they’d give the little punk to me. I know a couple of people that have room for him and would take him.

I live in a very rual rough area. This is the 5th 6th time this little bugger has shown up in my yard ,last time he was here 4 days before the owners came to get him. My dogs run the fence line barking like crazy and he runs with them, my horses are running at full tilt in the dark! So I tied him up in my yard and loosened his way to tight halter and he’s a bitter and he is a BUTT! I am so sick of this little stud showing up here. The owners just don’t seem to care……..UGHHGGGHH!! I guess I’d run away too if I was kept in a 10×10 pen with the chickens. I’m worried if I call animal control the owners will do something to my animals.
He’s cute. He needs to get gelded!

This is a arabian mare. Her head was lifted and her existing mane and most of her tail removed and resculpted,as well as her feathered legs and her horn. She’s more copperish then it’s appearing. I still have quite a bit left to do but she’s coming along so well I wanted to share.

We got 400.00 back in our tax return which went to get the bills caught up and then hubbies master cylander went out on his truck. Back in the hole again.
We are very active in our church and I emailed them to let them know we would’nt be there last night. We just couldn’t afford the gas or hubby would have had a really hard time getting back and forth to work. I got a email back that said come and they would fill the truck with gas, that they loved us and wanted us there 🙂
I was given a envelope when we got there and I didn’t open it till we where heading home and they put 60.00 in it so we don’t have to stress out over how we are going to pay fot gas this week.
This church has truly been a GodSend, when ever we’ve had problems they’ve come through for us.
My horse got really sick a while back and ran a very high fever, I asked the church to pray for him because I just didn’t have the money to take him to the vet. When he was still very sick the next morning we drove to the Vet and he agreed to hold a check. My horse was sick for 5 days, antibiotics and pain injections we almost lost him. I gave the Vet a hold check not sure how I was going to cover it when a church member came forward and paid my Vet bill but wanted to be kept secret. It wasn’t a small bill either!
I love my church and my Pastor, they have been there for us more often then I think I realize. 🙂

I know I am not the only one…but it sure seams so. There just isn’t enough money to make ends meet. I can’t sell anything lately and to make matters worse is my hubby puts a 100 miles a day on his crappy car which eats gas.
I tried to pay bills and I can’t do it. Oue Electric bill is three months behind and 500.00 the phone bill is 2 months behind and is 125.00.
I have no choice I’m going to have to jump back into the job world. I was a Vet. Tech for 13 years and I’m not sure menatally I could handle going back to it. I haven’t handled money since I was 19,so cashiering terrifies me. I managed apartments for 8 year and HATED it. So where does that leave me?
I scour the want ads on a daily basis….
I am good with animals.I’m strong. I am very good with my hands.
Things I know hinder me. I suffer from CPS( cronic pain sydrome) fancy name for they have no clue why I hurt. Standing for long periods cripples me. I’m not a good teacher. I get my ruff up when people are lazy. I have about a 5th grade math level,a doctor said many years ago if there was math dyslexia I have it. I tend to flip numbers and see numbers that aren’t there. I’m a very bad receptionist, can’t hear well and always mess up the spelling and names of clients.
So what can I do for a job? I just want something part time. Something that will suppliment our income and help us to at least pay the bills!
I’m a good artist. I love to do anythng crafty. I’m good with horses and dogs.

I’m so depressed. I feel like I’m drowning.

I am very shocked but the large ones go for 175.00 and up and the little ones go for 35.00 to 65.00.
The little butterfly winged babies go for 25.00 to 28.00
I didn’t really set my pricing they just started going for that and that’s where I set the pricing.
                              🙂

the little red guy I wanted him to look like a seahorse, those tiny little mouths. This particular one had his head smushed and in the process of trying to fix it I squished the eyes so I made a new one and covered the other one with a forelock. I’m not very good at sculpting from the raw, I do better when I have something to start with which is why I use the toy horses. So makeing a new eye was a challenge actually. I used a bead and covered it with epoxy.
I like “Rags” it has these dots of glass paint on his tail and body that look like gems. People asked me where I got such small gems 🙂
