Silverdragon~ it’s been my experience in both buying and reading, that Melody is so generous she doesnt like to let anyone down (which is a great undertaking and very appreciated). Ive always read about the curls in the store, that she will always try to make enough batches until everyone that expressed serious interest in them, gets the colors they want. The ones that are retired are done with but the newer curls she has come out with, say, starting about the Pinks, my guess is there will be more batches.
I think the squeaking for Pink CURLS has died down, so there may not be more; same with silver but I know others are squeaking old Green and certainly these latest Pearlie Curlies.
I do not speak for Melody and this is just pure opinion and speculation. But I very, very much believe that there will be more batches of the latest pearlie dragons. WHEN- is a different story, but eventual I believe strongly.

Thanks sweetie! And I heeded your plea for clicks for your double headed blue dragon. I’ll chirp more here too!EVERYONE GO THE LAST PAGE OF NURSERY AND CLICK KHAT’S BLUE DOUBLE HEADED HATCHLING FOR HE HAS LESS THAN A DAY LEFT!!!
Oh, and dont forget my ever growing family when you can, too!
Suckerrrrrr! Yep! She fell for it hook, line and sinker! She was in the bathroom (which is like a huge palace; she had the house built to her specs and she loves her a large bathroom) doing her hair and make up and I came in with the swaddled blue blankie saying, “shhhh! Happy Mother’s Day,” I whispered.
Her eyes grew large and her mouth started to gape before she knew what it was. She assumed it could be any animal and since we love them all, she was already thinking, “cute! cute!” but was a bit apprehensive. She knows I know she cant take on more animals right now but she also knows Im prone to saying, “WTF, why not? Cant hurt.”
She actually said aloud first, “this better be a statue!” I kept my facade up and diverted her from such a thought quickly with little things I do. I let her peer at the eye and she was like, “awe! what is it?! I said everything she needed was in the car and not to worry and then she was really into it.
It was “wriggling” in my arms so I asked if she wanted to hold it but only over her bed in case she escaped. She carefully swaddled it and said, “whew, well, statues arent this heavy!” HAHAHAHAHA! Before going further she said to me, “honey, I dont want another animal, mother is getting old and cant handle more. I hope you can take it back or keep it yourself, whatever it is. Dont break my heart!”
She leaned over the bed and carefully unswaddled it (with her cats surrounding the blankie which was perfect, like they were in on it! Actually they were interested cause the blankie smells of their nephews (MY cats… think it through. Im mom’s daughter, her cats are my brothers, hence my “kids” my brothers nephews…. and yes, we are that wacky family that does refer to our animals as kids and family to this degree)!
When it was all out in the open, she was so touched and cooing and oohing cause she remembered the enjoyment we got out of the GPs we had when I was a kid. She really admired it from all angles and is increasingly impressed with Melody’s work. Bottom line, she positively loved it and it was a great presentation.
Then we got to do it all over again for my step dad watching TV in the living room and he too fell for it, so I got 2 for 1! Piggy was then placed carefully yet prominently on the baker’s rack and we went out to get a sumptuous Sushi dinner… our favorite!
Hope everyone had a great mother’s day! Thanks for letting me share my experience with you and for your sincere interest!!!
Hey! Where did your spotty green and white cracked egg go from your signature?! I wanted to see that one grow!
Ive been holding onto the Gold and White Guinea Pig for a few months now, knowing sometime I would give it to my mom for an occasion. I had decided on Mother’s Day (I’ll make her an addict if it’s the last thing I do)!
Instead of wrapping it in its box etc., Im going to play on my mom’s instincts in knowing how wacky and spontaneous I can be. Ive tried it out with others and thanks to such wonderful eyes that Windstones have, it works!
I have the Guinea Pig swaddled in a blue blankie with just an opening around the eye so that when anyone peers in, thats what they see real fast and think it truly is a live animal. Mom knows not to put it past me to bring home a stray or buy her a new family addition. After all, not only was I born like that but my mom was a kid who brought home all kinds of animals like a skunk, duck, kinkachu (not spelled right), mice and tons of dogs or cats.
When I was growing up, we had a set of Guinea Pigs, they mated and had one baby and they were great fun to have in the house. Mom always adored them so it would be nice for her to add such a life like one on her baker’s rack near the other Windsies Ive gotten her over the last year.
I plan to walk into the house with a “shhh” look and expression on my face, etc. Holding very gently the slightly moving guinea pig swaddled in my arms very carefully (I cant lie worth a darn but when it comes to acting for a good cause like this- aint nobody better)!
She’ll start to say, “OMG… what the heck have you done now”, while an unconscious smile plays about her mouth that she wont be able to help. She’ll start saying things like “oh no, I hope you can return this: this isnt good right now!” Etc etc. I’ll tell her she just wont be able to resist and let her peak through the opening hole I spoke of earlier and let her glance quickly at the eye… very quickly cause the Guinea Pig will just wriggle at the time causing me to pull away a bit to make sure I dont drop it or it doesnt jump out. You see where Im going with this.
She’ll continue to protest but I’ll tell her once she holds it, she wont be able to resist. I’ll take her over to her bed so that should it “wriggle free” it lands on something soft while I tell her I have all it needs in the car. I’ll let her unwrap it and enjoy her delight!
Yea- Im a sneaky brat but mom makes it so easy! Hee hee hee!
I bet it can change the gender such as breeding an orange female with a Silver male and getting a silver female or orange male. I bet that would be feasible.
Way I see it is, if you know someone is into say, the Curls like I am and you know they want every single color that comes out, if you can swing it, grab an extra (or extra set- whatever you can afford). Because even if that person manages to get their own Curl, Im sure others here will want the extra(s) you got OR you could get even more money on eBay since they seem to go for more there when ppl dont want to wait.
I force myself to wait cause I dont have that extra money for ebay but it does suck terribly to wait and lose.
Thanks for your support tho, guys. Im here to lean on to when you get frustrated by anything too.
XOXOX

you eventually learn all the little saying and what dragon they are. I’m trying to get the Gold and Silver ones and I think the Gold ons it like “almost metallic looking” and the Silver ones say they have a sheen to them or something like that. I DO know the Spotted ones grow up to be the Dino dragon and the red one says it has white spots and is HOT, the Yellow one had white spots and was Heavy, but I can’t remember the Green and Blue ones, AND the chicken egg is 1/3 the size of the others and does not look like it belongs, The Stone eggs says it’s heavy like it’s made of stone, the Paper ones says it looks like the eggs is made of small pieces of folded paper and so on
You responded while I was typing. But you just answered the heart of my question. Now that I know that the small description under an unknown egg when choosing, if I dont want doubles, I avoid the descriptions I know I already took. Thank you!
