I loved Rocky Road cereal when I was 5.

And when I was 6… does anyone else remember this one??

I don’t remember if I liked it much, but I do remember playing with the pieces while I was eating ’em. 😕

Whatever calls to me, in whatever color. All curlies, fledglings, and Poads call to me.
And I was making an attempt at getting all of the griffins, but I’ve decided to stop that. I really don’t like them all… though, DANG, I’m lovin’ the momma Beagle griff. That’s somethin’, considering I don’t care much for her overall.

I have several, depending on my particular craving of the moment:

Cocoa Puffs (I did, however, strongly dislike them when they changed them a few years ago & made sugar the first ingredient. They weren’t ever like that when I was growing up [else my mom wouldn’t allow them], and thankfully, they changed them back [when they “introduced” the 1/3 less sugar boxes… which were just the original recipes])

Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds

          Strawberry Yogurt Cheerios

Oh, and Clusters. Though I don’t think they’re made anymore. Pity… they were yummy.

I’m waiting for my Wii Fit. I don’t buy Wii stuff on the local economy (the base sucks and sells very little!), because I’d really rather have English instructions :?. But my Mom picked one up for me and I’m just waiting on the mail.

My dad said that Wii Fit weighed him and made his Mii fatter. I couldn’t help but laugh. 😆

I could never sit through a whole episode of Star Trek… though I’m sure when it was out originally, it seemed less hokey. I much prefer ST:TNG though. Picard I’d want to talk with… Kirk… I’d want to punch in the face.

But Chuck Norris is better than both!

Snaaaake, snaaaaaaaaaaaaake, oooohhh it’s a snaaake. I luff the Badger song.

In watching that, I saw this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQ4j-MBnLQo. (Don’t watch if profanity is an issue for you)
Banana phone is now firmly stuck in my head and I can’t stop laughing at the video. I can’t wait to get my friends to watch it and have it stuck in their head. Oh, and the Badgers. 😆 😆 😆

Oooh.. all that pretty jade on the side of the BEP. Nice. Thanks for the comparison too. They’re both lovely, but I’m happy I got the BVP.

since the dubs seem to have some issues in their translations, or some stuff is left out that would so add if you were either reading a good scanlation or in the original japanese

Very true. Which is why I only watch the English dubs if A) I can convince my husband to watch with me (he can’t keep up with the subtitles and quickly loses interest) or B) I love someone’s voice and nobody else’s is annoying enough to keep me from listening. And even if I watch the dub, I watch it again subtitled when I’m alone. The dubs are much better (IMO) than they were a decade ago, but so much emotion is completely missed because of how the dubbers think the character should sound. Ugh.

I can’t get into manga. The ones I’d like to read are just too long. When a series is already 150+ episodes, I’m not going to even attempt the manga. You have me curious about the Naruto reveal though. I have so much to catch up on! I can’t decide if I should catch up on Naruto or Prince of Tennis first. 😕 Probably PoT… I keep having dreams of it.

I’ve got a male and a female Paper dragon. Though I froze the little one before I knew the gender… I would’ve let him grow up if I had known, since they can only breed with another Paper. 🙁

Oy… The things I miss…. I should at least know about Yuki, and feel sorta out-of-place that I don’t. Bleach, maybe not so much. I haven’t really gotten into it yet. I have all the current eps on my computer, but have only watched the DVD box set. I’m still trying to get myself to watch more Naruto (beyond the DVDs) before I launch myself into another long series.

I haven’t done too much exploring yet, but should start soon. I don’t like going off alone, and I’m nearly always alone, so I haven’t done as much as I could’ve by now. I have a new friend though that wants to go exploring, so we might end up doing some fun things soon.

I’m not actually in Naha. I’m about 15 miles north of it. It’s close, but seems kinda far (the whole island’s only 67 mi long) once you get used to the distances/speeds around here. I’ve been as far north as Nago. I’ve been to the aquarium (which is small, but pretty cool- and has whale sharks!), and we should be hitting the Pineapple Park, the Butterfly Garden, and hopefully the Botanical Gardens sometime this summer. Oh, and more kayaking. Did that a couple weeks ago at a little beach rental shack down the road. ‘Twas fun, other than getting flipped by converging waves (and flipping my thumbnail back as I was crashed into the coral rocks multiple times… tho luckily not landing on sea urchins in the process ).

Hubby’s just taken up snorkeling and wants to take a scuba class, so I’ll be dragged along to do that pretty soon (I’d like to snorkel/scuba, but feel like a glow-in-the-dark [other than my healing, sunburnt legs, I’m super pale] beached whale in my bathing suit right now). Once we get more into that, we’ll definitely check out some of the other islands. The pictures I’ve seen have been gorgeous! I should probably just sign up for some base-sponsored tours and get out there already. I’m a perpetual procrastinator. 🙄

Now you’re making me jealous with being in Japan to get said wonder-ments 😥 Still trying to track down a rat Yuki (Fruits Basket) & a Soi Fong and Yoruichi plushies (Bleach).*must take vacation to fly to Okinawa*

Hehe… well, it is quite nice here. But actually I was referring to the forum as “this place”. No job and lots of pretty Windstones make me poor . But come to Okinawa and you’ll have a free place to stay! Though if you really want good anime stuff, you’ll need to hit Mainland. So far, I’ve been sorely disappointed by the amount of anime I’ve found on this island.

I know a few places online that have the rat-costumed Yuki (or is there another I’m unaware of?)… there’s a couple on eBay too. And I don’t think they make those Bleach plushies yet. Of course, the Tokyo retailer I used to use isn’t online anymore (not that I remember their name to see if they started back up), so I don’t have a good place to check :?. I’ll keep an eye out for you.

Eep… I should probably look at the list once in a while. Please take me off for the Blue & Lavender Pearls. I got ’em from the last batch. Thanks 🙂

I really like those. But not enough to pay that much.

According to another seller on ebay, these are the dimensions:
Height 15 cm Width 14 cm

And no, the seller IS gouging. They’re using EMS for shipping, which is very expensive… but not quite that expensive. EMS uses a flat-rate charge up to a certain weight (and then by destination country), and even without knowing the weight, I’d say that’s too much. Plus, another seller from China is charging $60 via EMS, so it definitely can be cheaper.

And though $60 still seems pretty hefty, EMS is FAST!! When I lived in Nebraska, and ordered stuff from Japan that was shipped via EMS (quoted as 5-7 days), I’d have it in 3-4 days. I always liked having EMS for a shipping option.

Ohhhh yeah… those were the days… pay $30 shipping for hard-to-find anime plushies. Yeah, I was dumb, but I <3 my plushies. Though that was before I discovered this place, which has kept me from being able to buy so many non-DVD anime things.
