*little whine*
I don’t wanna go to work today and deal with the last minute angry gift shoppers!
I don’t want to go to work today either but for the exact opposite reason! Since it’s xmas eve, NO ONE WILL BE THERE (except homeless). Why is the library even open on xmas eve? It’s going to be sooooo boring with nothing to do!
and now she wants to send me a cashier’s check for my refund…

But no, what this seller is doing to you is not ‘legal’ on ebay and she has every obligation to sell the dragons to you for the price you bid. She doesn’t have much of a leg to stand on if she wants to cheat you out of it. You already went above and beyond your obligation as a buyer, by offering to pay more than the final price.
If you want these dragons, ebay will be on your side, but OGs are common enough that if it were me, personally, I would continue my search elsewhere. This seller obviously isn’t familiar with ebay or Windstones and it might be more trouble than it’s worth, just to end up with them arriving broken from bad packaging, or having to hold her hand through the whole process…
I’m not going to raise a fuss about it, it really doesn’t bug me too much since as you said, it’s just old greens, they’re everywhere. I’m just miffed she relisted everything without even communicating with me. I am still curious to see how she is going to refund me, since she apparently doesn’t even want to try and negotiate a fair price for one or two of her pieces, so she owes me back my $22.25 =P
I haven’t messaged her back, I’m going to sit on it for a day or so because I doubt ebay will let her just cancel my purchase…so yeah, we’ll see. I thought it was crappy of her to relist them before she took care of this. No refund as of 10:09 pm and she messaged me around 8 in the evening.
Yes, happy winter solstice or Yule to all 🙂
Yeah, she just got back to me, said she meant to have a reserve of $400 and will refund my money…I didn’t think a seller could just do that. Then couldn’t any seller just decide they didn’t like the final selling price and cancel it? That is what reserves are for, and doesn’t Ebay charge for a seller to have a reserve price?

He is AMAZING!!!
/so totally in lovethank you, LIH. That helps put things in a more positive perspective 🙂
I’m just getting fed up of dumb ebay sellers. From the wording of the auction and from the question and reply posted at the bottom, it seems to me that this seller has no idea how ebay works. You can’t put something up for bids and then ask for offers, and you certainly can’t make a single listing to sell “as a lot or separately”.
Do be sure you’ve got everything straigtened out before you send any money!
Yeah, that’s a good point LIH. Maybe I’m not so great as finding deals as finding trouble =P I must be wearing a drama magnet or something.
Oh wow! That is a nice thing to do though. He’s a fine old green male too! The young as well (I already own a mother old green, but the entire group is in nice shape). Maybe you will luck out and the seller will just want to be done with them (hopefully they will be wrapped well). Good luck!
That would be really awesome if she really just wanted to move em, but you can see at the bottom of the page someone asked about just buying the mother, and the seller stated she wanted around “market” value that she sees other Windstones at…so yeah, I’m not too hopeful there.
I just hope she didn’t let that terrible Kirin auction where the seller wanted over 1k for the female and male with a bent horn give her ideas about “market” value!I messaged her and asked her to contact me so we can work it out. I’m hoping for the “I’ll just buy ONE of these dragons dirt cheap” option, because sellers who are not collectors tend to have a grossly inflated idea of what their old green pieces are worth and I really just don’t want to haggle with someone like that about the whole set.
I’m waiting now to see what she says. -
