Related to the Komodo Dragon………but about 10 times bigger.
I am not sure that we would want bigger. What would we feed them? Hopefully they wouldn’t fly down and eat people.Oh, I don’t know…..There are a few people I know that could be dragon food 😀
hahahahaha. I am assuming that is in all joking.(funny funny though)
I just have a soft spot for big dragons.
it is worth it. he is a fascinating artist and after learning, it makes looking at his art so much more interesting.
*snort rofl* I have two books on his art and life. A lot the things in his art were symbolic and you would be surprised that the reason his art was looks down one when he first started out was because of the subject matter that his art was about.
I say use this guys DNA.

That is very Handy. This is the site right here, http://www.opalauctions.com/
Lots of opals and sometimes you can get them for insanely cheap! I mean 2 and 5 dollor Opals that are nice brightly colored and pollished. You can also get all sorts of other gems from there too.Ok, I am going to have to go get some of that wire and try it out. I use a smaller Gage but like you siad, stones can pop out…especialy when it is an oval cut and you are trying to make it so the wire shows off your opal and not hide it or cover it.
I saw some of your labradorite peices, labradorite is such a pretty stone. but so soft.I have not tried gold yet, I love the look of silver with most stones myself.
I am just south of Sacramento in Rio Vista mimitrek. 😀
yeah, Dali is just amazing..and so many hidden meanings in his pictures. everything is placed for a reason. I always love how things change with in one piece of art. Such as how he used themes of life and death.. or his more abstract elephants.
That there is a question. Almost anything and Everything.
I am a big scifi fan, so almost anything alien grabs my attention immediately.
reading stories like Dune, Hunt for the Icarus,Only Forward, The right to Arm Bears.
Scifi Artists such as Wayne Barlow,HR Giger and Bob Eggleton.
Barlow’s creature the Daggerwrist was a lot of influence.
Anime: Technoman,Guyver,Evengelion, pokemon, but Digimon wins out with the most impact. I collect the cards and the cards have a very grungy art.Hayao Miyazaki’s works.
The Final Fantasy series, mostly 7 and 10. 7 had a lot of grungy cities and wasteland like sceneries.
Other games too Like Jack and Daxter, Kingdom Hearts. And there is a long list of dead Artists. Dali the most with his extended limps, stilts, and deserted sceneries. Also Edvard Munch with his art full of dreary colors.
and then there are all the DA Artists..too manny to name. Jen used to be one but I ran into a nasty issue of being accused of style theft(along with 7 others and most with completely different styles) Long story. I’ve been leary of naming any sort of inspirations ever since.
and then there is all the natural things that have heavy inspiration. anything I can use for alien design. Dino’s, the sad birth defects of kittens, I have a small library of animal encyclpedias covering all sorts of species that I use regularely. My favorate to use are the deep sea creatures. I have a book by Fabien Cousteau that has photos on most of the deap sea ocean species.
Some times it is as simple as looking outside and seing something that would made just the most interesting creature.
Inspiration comes from every where and more then one place for me.It would be insane to try to name them all, but that should be the ones that affect me the most.
(No offense taken btw)
O_o I don’t even now how to go about doing it.
(I’m a noooob)
I take that as a compliment. that is something I would LOVE to do. As I kid my favorite folders were the ones with art on them and I will always remember that.
there has been no winter here. the only way I make it through the year is those few months we get rain…………and there is almost NO rain! instead, we have had mostly above normal tempratures this winter….
I hope I make it through the summer all right.
“I am not sure if this is an M Pena figure or not. It looks identical, but I can’t read the felt insignia on the bottom. Either way, this is a pretty awesome looking figure.”
looks like the seller has no idea but seems to think it looks like the windstone dragons too.
dragonmedley:I still have a long way to go in learning muscle tone and use of lighting, as well as vantage points for scenes like in cities. I have a hard time with those..
I also am so extremely picky about what I will not draw, so I am holding off on offering to do art for a job such as comics..unless they are my own.
still got a lot to learn about art.Skigod377 : here ski, this should work.
Greater Basilisk: thanx ^.^
DantheDragon: yeah, seeing other artists progress can really help a lot. It’s why I never deleted anything off my DA gallery…so others can go through and see the progress and learn from it too.
dragonessjade: Yeah. I wanted bright colors for the other one, but at the time i did not know how to achive that affect. -
