Thanks Ski! I didn’t think I was gonna get him. I put a bid in and just let it ride. Someone was nibbling at the end.

I need to step away from the keyboard, but so much yummy stuff!

3 Castles, Gold Sunburst Peacock Griffin, Copper Gold Coiled Momma and Pearl Gold Sun Dragon…whew and throw in some curls….I need to go do something else 🙂

    Hehehe, that was funny!

I have had it two days now, and I love it! It does a pretty good job. Especially with the cat hair! I might have to get a Scooba! I hate to mop!

Wait, where was he? Was he on Ebay? Or did the first Winner not buy him? Or did someone at Windstone do something nice…tell us the story 🙂 Ohh and congrats, I really like the Blue!!!

    Edit:
Ahh, I see…I found the auction and obviously it was another case of a bogus bid. Well, Congrats! At least he stays in the family and you finally get a special piece. I am glad you got him. He will be well loved by you! And he is gorgeous! I am particularly fond of blue, but would love to see him in a darker blue.

Please post pics when you get him! I would love to see what he looks like, in a real home setting, maybe with a light background.

Grabby Hands !!! Ohhh No I forgot, I already bought myself a bunch of presents…

If I use my Crebit Card again it is set to self destruct! I can only justify or sneak in a certain amount of boxes per month and the hubby has noticed all the boxes….though he doesn’t complain, he is mentally keeping a tally.

*laughs* I’m leaving from St Louis and arriving at San Jose CA. I have outgrown my shyness so I’m OK with stopping someone and asking questions.

It’s probably slightly more complicated than the train though. At the train station in Champaign all you do is wait on the platform. Simple. ;D

I’m sure I’ll be fine, but I’m just a country nut, I can’t help those crowd phobic moments.

That is excellent, those are smaller airports. Easy, all laid out in an x shapped pattern, or similar.

The bad airports are Chicago, Dallas, LA…they are all an endless maze. In general, remember the hub and spoke concept. The hub us the business center and the spokes are there to park the planes along.

Chicago is a psychadelic nightmare. They have tunnels with flat escalators and flashing pastel lighted walls with neon overheads pulsing and crazy tinkling music…..

Whoever designed O’hare was on an acid trip…last time I was there was almost 10 years ago…Thank God!

Good luck, I am sure you will be fine, small airports are easy!

Just look at signs. Airports are usually easy and if you get lost ask.

Usually the gates go from 1 to whatever the farther down the concourse. So if you land at gate 10…follow the crowd getting off the plane. They are all headed toward gate 1 and the hub of the airport.

Think of it as a big X. The center is the check in, luggage, etc and there are hallways stretching off the center. You get out of the plane in a big hallway and move toward the center to get a cab, get your luggage, etc.

It is easier than navigating the freeway! Good Luck!

PS Have an alcoholic drink on the plane…it gets easier if you aren’t nervous!

Anne McCaffery’s Dragons! The Dragons of Pern!

They hatch and select a human to bond to. They have a telepathic connection for the life of the Human Rider and Dragon. If a Rider dies the Dragon commits sucicide by going “between” and if the Dragon dies the rider either commits suicide or they basically go nuts, some manage to live normal lives.

Dragon Riders mate with the Riders of the Dragon’s mate. So a Weyr Leader is the Rider of the Bronze Dragon who mates with the Golden Queen and her Rider, who is the Weyr woman.

It gets very complicated…but it is a perfect example of a symbiotic relationship between a human and another creature. There are also Watchweyr’s in the Pern novels and they have a bond with their humans also.

Ohh, almost forgot about Fire Lizards, the Dragon’s ancestors….you MUST read the books!

PM me with questions. I have every single Anne McCaffery novel and I have been a fan of hers since I was a teenager. I can probably answer any question you have about PERN, or look it up!!!!

Her books are the perfect example and she has been writing since the 1960’s!

I actually bought a Roomba, IRobot Vacuum cleaner. He is pretty neat. He cleans, goes around things and goes back to his docking base.

I have 3 Cats and 11, maybe 12 Minpins (That is sooo sad, I actually lost count), so pet hair is a problem.

I use my swiffer vac all the time and I actually have a Dyson Pet vacuum. The Dyson is great for the carpet…can NOT beat it. But the tile, never seems to stay clean. I was tired of passing the Swiffer Vac around everyday, so we will see what the little robot does.

The cats HATE it. They have tried to kill it several times, just this evening.

The husband is scared it will get loose and go wild. Very suspicious since I showed him, it can find its own charger base and park itself…

Anyone have one of these? Comments?

The problem is that people hack into unused ebay accounts. So they use that person’s ebay account info. I have had this happen to me as a seller, in order for someone to attempt a Western Union Scam.

Fortunately for me, I smelled a rat! I reported it to ebay. It is very difficult to track this type of thing, and it is similar to people hacking into credit card accounts or stealing identities.

In fact it is stealing the person’s ebay identity. This kind of stuff happens on myspace also. It is hard to track and hard to stop. Therefore very frustrating!
