I just feel so Stupid! I bought a ticket to this reggae artist last September and I was so looking forward to seeing her perform. She just won a Grammy and I was all excited about it. The performance was tonight at 7:30 at the college and I had a really good seat. I got involved in what I was doing on the computer and the next time I realized, it was 9:45 and I had missed the performance entirely!! I am just SICK!! I bought a block of tickets in September for a lot of performers and she was one of the ones I was looking forward to the most and the only one of all of them that I have missed! The ONLY ONE! How in the world could I have missed this performance? I just feel so angry with myself for forgetting what was so important to me! I know I have to just let it go, there is absolutely nothing I can do about it, no way to fix it, but I am so incredibly disappointed and sad, really really sad… 😥

What I have noticed over time is that as I have changed and my situations and interests have changed, my friendships have changed too. The office friends change when I leave or they leave the office, or the careers or the towns or the neighborhoods or the college change. That happens especially when we change from single to married and from married to parents because the focus of our attention changes and often the other people either can’t or don’t or won’t catch up or they get jealous of the changes until the changes happen to them. Sometimes we just outgrow old friendships like old clothes that have gone out of style for us and it’s time for new ones that fit our new lives better, rather than hang on to old ones just because they used to fit way back when.
Maybe it’s time to look at this friendship and see if there is still anything in it besides history for you.

Good for you! You most probably created two future Windstone collectors! What goes around comes around in positive ways, maybe they can join the forum too!

The silver male and silver mother also have the same pale eyes.

I’m going against the general sentiment too and saying I love it, I look forward to the spring change every year and IMO it ought to be a national holiday! There, I said it and I’m glad! I’m really glad it’s 7 months long and regular time is only 5 months of dark and dreary days, but DLS always says we survived another winter, it’s LIGHT again!! I get SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) really bad each year and when DSL goes off, I go off like a light switch too. I need sunlight and greenery and blue skies and warmth, I get literally hungry for that and I get depressed and lethargic, so when DSL comes, hope and energy comes back to my world! So far, at least on this thread, I can see I am in the minority by far, but I cheerfully put up with a few minutes of clock changing and yes it does take a little jetlagging but for me the benefits are so worth it to feel alive again! My .02 are in. drgnlvr

Unfortunately, I’m still not good at posting pictures, but there is a really good one on astralcastles.com website. I WISH I was more computer-literate and could just send you the link, but I don’t know how to do that either. 😥
Melody, does that mean that there isn’t a “story” about all the leaves in his beard and hair and robe and what mystery/answer he is looking for so intently in that book? To me, he feels like a royal nature spirit exiled, very sad, still part of who he was, and very determined, trying to find the way back to where he was through learning the ancient secrets in that book, and locked in one place in stone forever, as a reminder to the rest of us (me) what we’re here to do so we can get back to who we are and where we came from by learning the ancient secrets of nature. Well! That was unexpected! I really didn’t know that was coming. Maybe that was what hooked me so fast in the store! What else to say? Thank you Melody for making this wizard. Do all the stone finishes fall into the gargoyle category? I have 2 winged wolves and owls and cats and a lion head sconce, they too?

in reply to: PUT YOUR "WISH LIST" IN HERE #596613

My wish list is for the blue sun dragons, all kinds, and any of the variant green or red ones, too. I have 1 ruby and 1 jade sun dragon and I want the other varieties. Also, the regulars and babies that go with each color, except the dark jade, I have that.
I’ll get to the rest of the list another time!

Melody, I just bought a Woodlore Wizard from a dealer and he had it for a long time so he didn’t know anything about it. I just found out what he was and that he was classified as a gargoyle! That surprised me a lot because I don’t like gargoyles at all and I like this guy a lot. He looks so intent and studious and foresty and wizardy and un-gargoylelike which I associate with the ones I saw in Europe meant to scare away demons by becoming said demons, all ugly and horrid and devily. So what is the story of this non-gargoyle hermity studious forest-dwelling wizard and why is he classified in with the rest of the yooglies? Why isn’t he more well-known? Is he rare? I’ve never been into wizards much, more for dragons, but this guy hooked me right there in the store! drgnlvr

Oh, be still, my heart!! to have a silver or a twilight or a violet or a real green or…!!!A lavender or a spring green or a daffodil yellow or a peach! Or even one like that gorgeous burgundy OW! Maybe I really do have spring (or sun dragon) fever!Aaaagh!! (I’ve been up all night doing paperwork, forgive me! I know not what I say!) Do you think there will ever be a chance that there will be another silver or green or another one of the “ones” or will there just be more of the bronzes and either go on to another color or just leave it at that? I know Melody isn’t fond of the orientals because they are difficult, but they must be worth doing, and there is such a demand for them.

in reply to: Still Cleaning Stuff Out..Update Pg 11 #664170

Yes, I will do that, I am interested in how he got to be a gargoyle when he doesn’t look like one, and what the story is behind him. Thanks!

Thank you! That is so helpful! So now the peacock sun rises high on my wish list!!! The LE’s or OOAK’s that I’ve gotten a glimpse of included a silver one and I don’t remember the others, but there were several, weren’t there? They were SO stunning!
