Thanks! I think he will fit in pretty well with the summer green male that just got home too. He is going to be delayed due to the shipping problem from Oregon, but I think the contrast with the summer male and the blue twilight is going to be interesting!

You are such a tease!! 😆 Well, I have such great news!! sunflower saw my agonized bloody head and Pm’d me with some information about an emerald wizard that she saw in a shop near her home, so I called them this afternoon, and they will send me one with only one small chip they are discounting 10% for it already yet(!) and I am so EXCITED!! the bandages on my head have come off and my happy snoopydog dance has begun!! FINALLY I am getting a large emerald WIZARD!!! Yea!!!!! Hotdiggetydamn and YABBADABBADOO!!!! I’m so excited! (you think?) Now, (in the true collector’s spirit) I just need the small black, blue, and emerald wizards. (I am NOT doing frogs, cats, and mice!) I just got the small white wizard and he didn’t even come smushed!! Will wonders never cease!! My odds are increasing all the time!! 😆 Maybe I can even dare hope for a small wizard with rose sleeves! Who knows! I’m on a roll! 😆 😆 Life is good!*giggle*

Oh no, I didn’t see it! 😥 😡 If I had, I would have snatched it too, doggonit!! A day late and a dragon short! *starts bandaging bloody head* Well, someday, *sigh* ! How many of those were made, does anyone know? How much hope do I have?

Nor mine! And I’ve never seen an emerald of either a large or a small wizard on ebay!

in reply to: New Address #724544

Melody, when you close the office down and move it, does this mean that your official address changes to Oregon? I hate to be ringing the same tired old bell, but I keep buying your stuff on ebay and having to pay the— California sales tax and waiting waiting on tippytoes for your change of address so I won’t have to pay the “blessed” thing anymore. Please tell me there is an end to this in sight! I’ve been holding my breath so long I’m about to explode! 🙄 😆

I feel really lucky then to have been able to have gotten one of each one. I will post pictures of them as soon as they get here. (Travistie found a shop that had an emerald one and let me know. Thank you, thank you!!!) I finally got my first undamaged ebay wizard, a small white. I have bought 4 wizards on ebay and every one has come smushed, and I have had to file a dispute on every one of them. I am finally at the end of them, well, not quite, one, I am considering small claims court, but the others have been resolved. I really hope the windwizards and the small peacock wizard that is coming won’t be smushed, I am really tired of this. Does anyone know if the small wizards were made in anything but the white and the peacock? I know the large ones were made in emerald and black and blue as well, and a rare rose, but I’ve never seen any other color in a small wizard. ???

I did, I won the first dark green sun. He looks a lot like the dark jade production sun, but his fur is darker and his eyes are the dichroic(sp?). There is more differentiation in his chest, too.

in reply to: Packing peanuts #722729

It was just the $25 for the shipping, not the $125, and that was only 5 bags out of 16. I tried posting the bags on craigslist at $3, not one inquiry. My “box room” is stacked with boxes and packing peanuts completely obscure the window, and I can only get about 1/3 of the way in. I hate to throw them out, especially when I found out what they cost, so I thought maybe someone here might want them. The material to make the bag I found at Walmart for $1 a yard and it is really strong, so I made the bag for $1.50. I could make smaller bags so they wouldn’t cost as much to ship, maybe, they certainly cost less than boxes, I found that out!
Anyway, it was just a thought. Thanks for the suggestion, Dave. You are always so helpful, I appreciate you! 😆

Would anyone like a bag of packing peanuts? I have a HUGE bag, about $125 worth I think (I’m basing that on what they sell for at staples new) and that is just an estimate, that Fedex says they will ship for about $25, depending on the zip and it is cluttering up my office. I made the bag out of parachute material and I emptied 5 tall kitchen bags of packing peanuts into it. I took it to Fedex and they did say they would ship it. So if anyone wants it, let me know(hopefully before the shipping rates go up!)

Thank you! I am really looking forward to seeing him in person! When I get him, I will post pictures! I am trying to carve out a time to learn to post pictures on this forum. I refuse to whine about how I don’t have time to learn and I have a business to run and blah blah, everyone else here has busy lives and somehow you all have managed to learn to post pictures, there is little reason that I don’t learn too! So, I will learn to do this! They may not be as good as the ones you all do, you have had a lot more practice, but I will do the best I can with what I have! So, Thank you!

Gosh, I think I won it! I think it was just a fought and won war, I don’t know who I was bidding against, I hope it wasn’t a forum member. I feel bad when that happens. I had never seen a wind wizard before, I had only known of them by reputation that they were beautiful and rare, so when I saw that one on ebay, I could see why people want them, they really are beautiful and I thought they would be spendy, but I had no idea what the price range would be. When the price stayed low, I figured it would go up at the last minute and someone would snipe him, but I didn’t know it would go up as high as that! But someone else must have thought he was as valuable as I did, otherwise, why bid that high? But because I didn’t know that wasn’t a “normal” bid, I thought that is just what a wind wizard went for, being rare and beautiful. What other colors do wind wizards come in? Like I said, I’ve never seen one before now! (I’ve never seen an emerald large wizard either, although I hear rumors and I saw a picture once! :D)
Thank you for the compliments about the wizard going to a good home, and sparing no expense for my collection. That honors my collection and I really like that! I work hard at it, I protect it, I love it dearly, and I’m very proud of it! It touches me that you noticed. Thank you!

She wouldn’t need to be snooth-skinned! Wise strong sorceresses should be older women too, to reflect the wisdom and maturity of their years! C’mon, Melody, let’s hear some respect for the old wise women of the tribes/elders/warriors/shamans!! Hooray for us older crinkled faces!

in reply to: Yay! Happy news! #721633

Congradulations! I really believe everyone should do exactly what they want to with their time, the money will follow!! Good for you!

tasgrs, your kitty is so aware that he is going with all your love with him. He can’t help but feel it surrounding him and helping on his way, along with his other kitty companions that have been with him. I have had 2 beloved cats die in their own time very loved, and they both knew they were loved, I am quite sure of it. My brother’s cat is now dying too after 10 years of being the first cat or animal he has ever let himself love completely and he won’t let himself grieve the way you are doing. My office partner just had 2 of his prize showdogs shot over the 4th because they became frightened at the fireworks, broke through the gate and went into a neighbor’s yard who shot them, removed the collar, and threw the body of one killed into a creek bed, and left the other to die under a bush. Joe is not dealing well with that either. Yours is a much healthier grief, for sure! Better for you, for the cat, the other cats, and for your family, so hard as it is! I know it hurts so damn much! And, it also teaches us how much we can feel, and with that, the capacity for joy. Humans can’t have one without the other, tasgrs. So know that the waves of grief come very high and close together at first while it is fresh grief, that it can feel really crazy, hard to concentrate, hard to sleep and eat, etc. You are wounded, so take it easy on yourself and take good care of yourself, eat well, sleep and exercise, get your Vitamin B’s, 6’s and 12’s, they are stress vit’s. It’s OK to have all your feelings, all the coulda shoulda woulda’s, angrys, sadness, whys, why this kitty and not some other one, or whatever goes through your mind. It’s OK to feel this way about a cat, yes she isn’t a people, but she is not “just a cat” she is a loved part of your life and deserves to be grieved and you are going through normal grief with all its craziness. It will also model good grief behavior for your kids if you have any, that people grieve when they lose what they value and this is how they do it, they cry and mourn and feel sad and have ceremonies and say goodbye. So, good on you for having the courage to “do it right”, it does take a lot because it does hurt and it isn’t fun and it’s sometimes downright awful and you are doing it amyway. So, my heart is with you, I promise the intense pain will pass and you will feel better later and be better and deeper because of the experience and the memories of what the cat brought to your life will be with you always. My cats are with me still in memory! Love and Light.
