That’s a good idea! I will do that! 😆 Thank you for all your suggestions and input!! I thought this would be a more simple question than it turned out to be, but ain’t nothin’ simple anymore I guess! 😆 The answers should be interesting anyway!! 😆

Melody, we seem to be having a debate about the color of the ring gemstones of the wizards. I have the small and large white wizards and neither of them have their ring gemstones, so I asked the forum members what gemstones their wizards have. The consensus is that the small and large wizards have matching stones, the emeralds have rubies, and the rest seem to be debateable. One opinion is that all the wizards have amethysts, some say the blacks have clear stones, some have amethysts, some peacocks have sapphires, some whites have amethysts and some have clear stones, some say that it depends on who finished the piece in the first place. So. Can you settle this debate? What gemstones were originally in the white and the black wizards particularly? Did any wizard have clear stones? Were the colors left up to the discretion of the finishers?

I just reread the posts, does this mean that all the wizards have different ring gems according to the whim of whoever is finishing the wizard and no set rule for which wizard gets which stone? But then how come all my small wizards match the large ones in the color of their gemstones? In other words, the large peacock gemstone matches the small peacock gemstone, the large black matches the small black, etc.
I feel thick as a brick, but I don’t get it!

well, the black and the blue ones have amethysts, the emeralds have rubies and the peacocks have sapphires. But with both the stones missing from the whites, I don’t know what they are.

Does anyone know what color the white wizards have in their ring gemstones? I have the large and the small white wizards and both of them are missing their ring gemstones. I want to get them replaced but I don’t know what color they originally came in. Will someone who has one of these please tell me? 😕 Thank you so much!!!

If you paid for him by paypal, you can file a dispute with them, and you can negotiate the cost of the repairs with the seller and paypal will back you up. It’s worth a try, even if it takes a little while longer. Sellers shouldn’t be able to get by with stuff like that, especially when you gave them specific instructions and they didn’t follow them! Paypal really will back you up. Then you can send it to Kyrin and you both win. 😆

I am SO PLEASED that you like my collection!!! My computer went down early Thursday morning and just came back up a little while ago. I could hardly wait to see the comments on this thread about the collection to see if you liked it. You all take such great pictures and I wanted them to turn out so well. I will practice some more and get better at it and not wait another year to post more. So thank you and here’s some answers:
No, dragOnfeathers, I only have 226 at last count, but the cabinets have mirrored backs which makes the collections look like more and also help with the lighting.
I live in Chico, California, about 1 1/2 hours north of Sacramento. Main claim to fame is Bidwell Park, the 3rd largest municipal park in the US behind NY Central Park and San Francisco Golden Gate, and named after the man on whose land gold was discovered.
Purpleturtle, I don’t think housesitting would work, the entire collection is in my office. But I would love to have you come and visit!
No, GB, none of the sitting spectrals are tests from Olimpia, I wish they were! And thank you for the bow! *bows back*
Dragon87, yeah, I still notice, that’s why they are out and not in boxes. When they were in storage, I lost a whole box of dragons, never to be seen again. So, never again, they are all out where they can be noticed if any go “missing”! 🙂 (I know you were kidding, but that was the impetus behind the display cabinets!)
Setsunawolf, thank you for the offer! I am also looking for a dark blue production sun, so just in case…the offer goes both ways!! 😆 And thank you for the appreciation! I am so glad that other people appreciate the collection and can enjoy it with me!

Thank you so much everyone for the kind words and appreciation for the collection. I really enjoy sharing the pictures with you. I won’t wait a year next time!

Oh Thank you so much Jennifer for fixing the BBCcode!! I was losing what was left of my mind as you can tell from the rest of my posts!!!! I wanted this to work so much!! I love my collection so much and I have wanted to share the pictures of it with the forum for so long, but I didn’t know how to post the pictures and when they came out all weird, I was just more bonkers with it than usual!!. It still isn’t quite right, but it is better.
I made the wig with the dreads for the rasta dragon because reggae is another one of my passions and that combined two of them. That’s what my avatar is too, but it’s harder to see. So thank you for that too!! 😆

It still left out most of the pictures! How frustrating is that!!! I’ve been up all night trying to figure out how to get this blasted thing to work!!! I’m so disappointed!! 😥 How do you all DO it? I just don’t know what to do!!

in reply to: I'll try again! #734815

I’m going to try to post the pictures again because that last attempt was so disppointing. I’m not sure this one will be all that much better, but I’m going to try, and if I can’t make it work, I will give it up and wait until I can get some advice from you all!http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808005.jpghttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808007.jpg[/img]http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808008.jpghttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808009.jpghttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808014.jpghttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808016-1.jpg[/img]http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808017-1.jpghttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808019.jpghttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808021.jpghttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808023.jpghttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808031.jpghttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808033.jpghttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808037.jpghttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh127/dragonjoy/Dragpnpicturesof92808042.jpg

well, I guess I still have some more to learn about posting pictures!!. I have no idea why photobucket would have deleted so many of my pictures, I posted 29 pictures and only those few showed up. Needless to say, I am very disappointed that this turned out so badly. I wish I knew what to do now. I worked so hard at this too! It took me months to do this! Doggone it!!!

This feels really scary for me, the last time I posted pictures of my collection, I had 1 display case and lots less Windstones and that was over a year ago. I forgot how to post pictures and I’m still not sure even now. I have 5 display cases now and over 220 Windstones, so please bear with me if I make mistakes.

Perhaps we have all had the experience of being on the other side of this too, where we inadvertently betrayed a trust or a secret we didn’t know was a secret or we were just young and naive about secrets or didn’t know the difference between secrecy and privacy. Then we couldn’t fix it, the trust was broken no matter how much we regretted it or got “forgiiveness”, it wasn’t the same or it just couldn’t ever be fixed at all and we just had to forgive ourselves and move on. It’s a very hard lesson to learn, it feels awful, but sometimes we have to learn it so we can know what it feels like and not do it to someone else.

I like Easter best, because we are finally through winter, and I know spring is really here, everything is bright and pretty, the world survived another year, summer is coming with all the wonderful fruit and vegetables and blue skies and flowers and travel and summer festivals and Easter means the world is beginning again and there is hope again. For me, Easter is the new year, not New Years. Daylight savings time starts, so the days get longer with more light to brighten things up after the gloom and darkness of winter. I get seasonal affective disorder (SAD) really bad, so the lack of sunlight affects me a lot. So Easter is a big time of celebration! YESSS!!!

I’m late to all this, but as I was reading it, I;m reminded of a situation my brother was in. His best friend was dating a girl he was seriously interested in that my brother also found attractive, but he also knew and respected “the rules”, that you don’t make moves on your friends’ girls. However, the girl was not as committed to the friend and was trying to make it clear to my brother that she was interested in him without offending the friend. This went on for some time, until finally the girl had to make it quite clear to the friend where her interests were and that it was not about the qualities of the friend. She and my brother have been married for 36 years and have 2 splendid adult children and my brother and the friend remained friends for a while until distance and lifestyle drifted them apart. One never knows.
I’ve found that I can never paint one whole gender with the same brush. Horrid catty liars, people who cheat and steal and betray, people without consciences, without moral compasses belong in both genders. People of splendid morals, high values, wonderful trustworthiness, incredible friendships, of great humor, creativity, solid social consciences, people I would trust my life with also belong in both genders. I have found wonderful friendships in both genders. They are different, they have different energies, and they are both splendid. If someone is horrid, they are horrid in their own right, not because they are male or female, they are horrid because they are just horrid. Or splendid because they are splendid, not because they are one gender or the other.
I got along much better with women when I became more comfortable with myself as a woman, and stopped competing with women. Friendships with other women can be very special in ways that friendships with men can’t and viceversa. They are just different. I think men feel the same, that men have friendships with men that are different than the ones they have with women, not better or worse, just different. Different energies, different sharing.
I think your cousin is well rid of her “friend” Rae and she maybe needs some counseling to overcome some of her lack of confidence in herself, and to restore her confidence in her ability to choose friends. That’s my late take on it.
