*hugs* It is hard to be where you are. I suffer from depression and have for years. I’ve had many depressive episodes in my life, from teen years up to now. My life was raw after the birth of my son, but we didn’t recognize the signs. Finally, after I gave up my career right before a huge promotion, gave up my house and my life out west, moved 3000 miles back east, lived with my inlaws for 5 months and gave birth to my daughter, I just cracked. I’ve been on 20 miligrams of Lexapro ever since. I have no intentions of ever going to my meds. I hate taking pills, made my husband get a vasectomy so I didn’t have to worry about the pill, but I will always take my “crazy pills”. Even now, I still have the blues once in a while when I just don’t want to do anything I enjoy. Depression is a difficult thing to manage with. I think for me, the most important thing is just to admit to myself I’m having a bad time of it and to know it will get better.
I don’t know what part of the country you are in, but maybe you could find a specialist on lupis?
And, don’t sell yourself short, I’m sure there are other things you are good at besides art. You just can’t see it right now.

🙄 They are calling me out on overdue cat vaccines. I gotta call my vet, cause I thought rabies was every 3 years and distemper was every year. So, they would be overdue on distemper. I wonder if I’m gonna have to haul all 3 cats to the vet now and pay thru the nose to bring them current….
It is a pretty steep adoption fee, actually. But most Golden rescues are pricey. It takes a lot of money to get these dogs from the shelter, to the vets, meds, spay/neutering, food, travel, etc…I don’t mind helping the cause. Heck, my golden girl flew up to Boston from New Orleans in a 7 hours flight instead of sitting in a transport.
I wouldn’t get a puppy yet. Even from a breeder. I don’t have the patience. Add 3 cats getting terrorized, chewed kids toys and shoes, kids getting chewed on….nope, not for me until the kids are older.

They are still in the process of doing my vet check. Keep your fingers crossed for me!! My cats aren;t up on thier shots. My dog is tho, so hopefully they won’t mind. The cats are strictly indoor and very healthy, even my FIV girl…
Anyway, I hate waiting and not knowing if I’m approved or not!! I keep checking my email like every five minutes and yesterday I even answered those ‘anonymous’ phone calls just in case it was the rescue. It’s SO hard to be patient!
I crush the chaulk pastels into a fine dust, like flour. Then, with a paint brush, I just dust it on and blow off the excess. Then I spray with a fixative and start all over again shading the areas I want darker or lighter and adding layers of color to acheive coverage.

I doubt it, the rescue is Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue in CT. I have also worked with Gulf South Golden Retriever Rescue, they get puppy mill dogs constantly.
It’s really sad that these beautiful creatures get treated SO badly. It’s really disgusting actually. I would love to be an animal control officer, but I would end up hating people.

Yah, me too. I think what keeps throwing me on the tux wolf is the black beard. I think if the entire area from under the eyes right to the chest were white it would flow better, but thats just my opinion. I do really like the brown guy! The blending looks great!
