I have sold my last 2 PYO’s from the forum, so I thought I;d offer this one before I put it up on Ebay….Take a look and if you are interested, PM me….I do take paypal…Thanks! If I don;t get any bites by this time tomorrow, it’s off to ebay..

Well, the silver leafing was harding then I expected!! I did the leafing on the horn last, and I think next time I’ll do it first, IF there is a next time. The flake was messy and stuck even without adhesive in places that I didn;t it, then it didn’t stick smoothly where I wanted it….

Anyway, started with a white base coat, then did the grays in pastels w/ acrylic accents. I then did the scales in acrylics because I hated how the “white” pastel dust was turning this nasty dirty looking almost green color. Did various layers of Pearl Ex violet interference dust, so there is a small flash here and there….I then antiqued with watered down black acylic w/ some retarder added. I’m reasonably happy with the peice, there are some spots I hate but I think to fool with them would only make them worse….Oh, I “antiqued” the scales in silver acrylic…

Yup, it’s hollow, sorry for the spelling, one too many bloody marys with easter dinner 😆 . It’s this little dragon?? curled up in half an egg. The egg is hollow too. The wick pulls right out as does the little rock looking thing that holds it in his mouth. He/she/it is small, maybe 2 inches wide by 3 1/2 or 4 inches tall….

I know it’s strange, but I really like it. It’s the only thing I think I have from being that age in one peice. My folks still have some of the breyers I played with, but they aren;t in great condition….

Yup, I got it as a gift when I was maybe 6-8….Nope, last name is Sinnamon..

I think it’s supposed to be an oil lamp, tho I would never use it as such.

Oh I just LOVE it!! Ok, lets hear it, how did you do it? Paints, pastels, pearl x pigments???

I got this little guy when I was 6 or 7 as a gift(i’m 33 now). The gal got it at a shop in Woodstock, VT called Unicorn I think….It has no markings on it, no stamp or signature.

ddvm – that looks perfect! I’m gonna call in the morning. She perks right up when I take the e collar off and drabs right back down when I put it back on. If I can’t find the bite not, I’m gonna look for the ProCollar

I wish I knew about this stuff before hand, she would be alot more comfy right now. Altho, maybe she is comfy, 2 pain pills for dinner….I know I’d be comfy.

My poor girl looks SO miserable! She has to wear the “lamp shade” for the next 10 days!! Do they get used to them? Or just keep bumping into everything? Ugh, they used staples too….

Thanks, she came thru just fine and I can pick her up in a little while.

Oh, don’t even get me started on puppy mills. Sometimes I just really stop and say to myself, Seriously, what is WRONG with these people? Pet shops too. I have seen puppies that were obviously very ill and nobody seemed to care. There wasn’t even a tag on thier cage saying anything…

Anyway, I’m really excited. I’ll hopefully complete my phone interview today. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed for my golden, I take her in this morning to get that nasty thing removed from her. Hopefully it’s nothing malignant, and if it is, that we caught it in time.

Well, I’m still waiting. I haven’t heard from anyone since Thursday via email. I did take all 3 cats tothe vet, that was fun! My big male kittie, Calvin, got sick(from the basement, not the attic 😆 ) all over his crate and the back of my SUV. Thank goodness I have a cargo matt back there!

I get to do back Monday morning with my pooch because she needs to get an infected tumor removed. Hopefully it’s not canceruous!

in reply to: Silver leaf paint or sheet for Ki Rin horn? #557468

I’m doing a gray pastel kirin and want the horn to be silver. I got both the silver leaf sheets & the paint. Anyone tried them, pros/cons?

in reply to: Waiting, waiting, waiting…. #556384

They approved my application!! I have to take the cats in to get thier shots today, but it’s not as bad as I thought. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this pup is still available. All I have left is the phone interview and maybe a home visit, but those are the easy parts…Boy is hubby be suprised! Payback for buying his Yamaha TW200 😆
