me too 😥
Yup, like SPark, thats how I find out! Some do very well, some tank. What kind of airbrush do you use?
These PYOs are really addictive! I haven’t kept one, mostly because I have a spending habit that is OUT OF CONTROL, but it kills me everytime I go the PO!! I just keep telling myself that after I am out of debt I can paint for myself….
It looks like there is a chip at the base of the horn, in the front. Maybe they tried to fix it?
Thanks everyone!! I really love doing these wolves! This one is done. I did not antique at all, I was too chicken! 😆
I’m glad you like it emerald!! The eyes are hazel….
Almost done!! Had to take a brake cause everyone is sick. 2 base coats of titan buff, golden as usual. Everything else is pastels. Took some tips from the pasteled horse people and have been using krylon products in between pastel layers. The body is pretty much done. I still want to do a few more layers on the claws & pads. The barring still needs to be finished and I’ll be adding some darker pastel to the centers of each barred feather.
I’m sorry I’m not done yet, and I hope you like him!!
What a cool kid!! I’m in the running…. 😈
Ok, I gotta ask, whats with the dixie cup?? 😆 I think I missed something.
Night and day difference! Again, I commend you for all the effort you have put into your painting!! You have come a VERY VERY long way! I do still have trouble with that light brown color tho. I have seen it on a lot of your peices and it just looks too flat, like flat wall paint. Maybe it’s just the camera??
Wonderful!!! I love the depth of the fur, and that feather barring is AMAZING!!!!!! Excellent work!
I tried some 4mm aquamarines I had, but they were far too large. 1mm or 2mm??
Yes, Ebay, as always….someday I’ll be able to keep a peice or two….
I like him too! I don’t know about others, but in the middle of a paint job, I usually hate what I’m doing. Sometimes, even until I remove the masking from the eyes.
I think the colors are wonderful! I envy the artists that can use those kinds of color together and not have it come out looking like bozo the clown!! I think you are doing a great job of blending, your application looks smooth and nothing looks muddy.
Doesn’t she look calm and patient? I think so! Here she is finally finished. The photos are not great, the morning sun reflected too much of her white so you can’t see the little grey flea bites here and there. She has another photo shoot scheduled for this afternoon, provided the light is right outside….
So, as seen before in an earlier post, I started with base coats of white paint, started adding some white pastels, moved into the grey pastels. I used 4 different shades of grey to blend the tail and mane. From there I went into touch ups, then about a billion more layers of white pastel, added gold and silver accents to mane & tail. Finished by sealing her w/ a matte look and shiny hooves…
Thanks for all the advice guys!! I think for now I’m gonna save my money for an Iwata set up. I’d rather wait and get something that will quality…
