You mean the old email notification system I tried that failed miserably? No. I’ll put updates for new stuff on the Windstone Blog. I “twitter” when the blog is updated, and the twitter appears on my Facebook page too. (There is a way to get a “rss” feed when this happens but I don’t know how to do that, being a troglodyte) We ARE working on getting to the new pyo pieces and we are casting the old ones fast as we can. There are some Keepers drying right now. Check the store , they appear randomly.
🙄
Oh, actually Susie has a “waiting ” list that she uses, and she notifies people when things they have requested are available again. You need to contact her to do this Susie@Windstoneeditions (dot) comThanks!! I emailed Susie to be sure I’m on some waiting lists. It’s great to hear the casting issues are getting better!!

… I can’t part with any of my first PYOs. 😳
Thanks!! I wish I could keep him, but I can’t. I only keep my Muses usually..
Both of those are lovely!! I must say tho, I have a soft spot for Muses. I just love thier quirkyness 🙂 All your stuff if beautiful!!
It seems like forever since I have really sat down and painted just for the fun of it! I started this guy a few weeks ago and he really has been a labor of love. I easily have over 40 hours of work in him, and had to use super tiny brushes that I cut even smaller. I was determined that this guy was gonna have crisp detailing even tho he is 100% pastels. I think I succeeded. He is 2 shades of brown, with the darker one a bit on the red side. I offset those w/ a medium gray. Not normally a color I would pick to go with the reds, but it works well. I had to be super careful because where the two meet, if there was any overlap the color would go very green. Thank goodness I used unison pastels, I only had to do 3 layers on most of the guy for good color depth. I just love how soft they are and how well they coat. The gold accenting I kept to a minimum becuase of the gray, but I lthink it all meshes well.
He will be up on ebay shortly, with a nice reserve. Hopefully he won’t sell 👿

OMG! This is exactley what I thought too!! Very nice!
Thanks! LOL! Those are S’Mores hooves(Fur Real Friends). Natalie used to call him Horse E. Horse 😀 She got it for xmas a couple years ago…
Introducing Lewis! He is 12 weeks old and a LOVE! Right now he is living in my daughter’s room about 70% of the time and gradually getting used to the other cats and dogs. So far he is doing well. We got him earlier this week.
The white cat never stopped peeing. We tried everything and it didn’t help. Today I am happy to say he found a great home with an older lady and one other kitty. I’m sad to see him go, but he will be so much happier.
Well, this situation sucks!! I feel really bad for you! I think what your case will come down to is wether or not you could be deemed as a ‘contractor’ during your temporary ‘rehire’. The deal may be that if the employer ‘hired’ you back, even temporarily, was paying you as an employee(meaning taking taxes out) you may be fine. However, if they didn’t treat your payment as ‘payroll’ and instead paid you as a regular account payable (like in a 1099, services rendered) they may not be required to give umployment. If I were you, I would also find out if there is a time frame between when you lose your job and how long you have to file for unemployment benefits.
Need some advice. My SIL just gave birth 8 days ago to a beautiful little girl. They have had the normal newborn stuff, breastfeeding, little weight gain, just getting to know each other troubles but nothing to panic over. Then yesterday they unexpectly lost thier 9 year old doberman after a stressful surgery. Ofcourse they are devastated. Here is what I need advice on. BIL went up to thier camp which is just down the road not even 3 minutes from thier house and mentioned that he may need a ride home. SIL said she would go get him if he needed, that she would just leave the baby alone for a few minutes and it would be ok 😮 ….Now, in my mind this is an absolute no no, period. Add to that SIL is trying to let the baby cry herself to sleep(at 8 days old) and I’m thinking post partum may be setting in. Or, is SIL just making bad, greif induced decisions?
Thanks guys!
I thought I was thinning it enough, it’s the consistency of milk, and myairbrush is supposed to be able to handle heavier paints and textile stuff..how much thinner can i make it without hurting the paint?
I have an Iwata HP-C and it keeps clogging/not spraying/blowing out gunk and water. So I pulled everything apart. Water filter trap thingy, the ‘drain plug’ on the bottom of the compressor and the entire airbrush. There was water in the filter, so I dried it out and set the whole thing in front of the ac, hopefully that problem will be taken care of. However, after I put everything back together, it is still clogging. I’m using paints thinned down w/ airbrush fluid. I’ll start spraying and it goes great for maybe 2 minutes, then nothing comes out, suddenly, SPLAT, it starts spraying again. It’s worse w/ metallics, but does happen w/ regular paints. Golden, liquitex, creatix all thinned w/ liquitex airbrush medium…………..Aircompressor set between 40-60 psi, makes no difference….Any thoughts? I’m really frustrated. I can barely use the darn thing to do a base coat, let alone any detail work.
edited to add: I also get a pool of paint at the tip of the airbrush, like a little puddle…..
Thanks for your suggestion to take off the flap of the cat door! It never occurred to me!! We took off the flap the day you mentioned it and now my daughter’s cat is using the cat ‘passage’ faithfully. No more ccat pee in the house 😀 and Joker can remain living here. And so far no dogs have tried to wedge thier head thru the wall….yet XD
I’m not sure what we will do. I think taking the door flap off the cat door is a good idea. My dogs are *hopefully* too big to fit, I’m worried about them trying to wedge thier heads in tho…I’m still wrestling with the fact that maybe this just isn’t the BEST home for the cat. If we didn’t have the dogs he would be happier, so part of me says he ought to have a different home. Then the other part feels badly about hurting my daughter by giving Joker away…. 😕
Thank goodness you cught it in time! Bummer about the bills tho! We just ended up getting insurance for our boxer because she has cost us over $500 in the last month….Please keep us updated!!
