HTTYD blew me away. I’m picky on the animations I watch. story plus original character design and graphics. How to Train Your Dragon delivered that completely for me. The artistic characterization bled through the CG so nicely, it reminded me of watching a nice edgy cartoon. The detail quality in the renderings were really impressive.

Thank you so much for the recommendation KoishiiKitty.

For anyone who has seen Toy Story 3: Wasn’t the Pixar short “Day and Night” brilliant? I certainly wasn’t expecting anything like that. 😀

Feel free to mention your favorite video games as well!

I begged my parents for a Sega Genesis long after they became outdated. 😆 The titles available for it were simply too good to pass up.
I grew up with Playstation 1 & 2, Nintendo 64, and I own a Sega Dreamcast as well. Ecco the Dolphin, Insomniac’s Spyro the Dragon Series, and Super Smash Brothers really stand out for me, but I didn’t really own that many games. (I rented quite a few though) I remember having fun with Drakan: The Ancient’s Gates for Playstation 2 — at the time I had never played anything like it. Go ahead and share your favorites video game titles, including those for the Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.

Yes it is! My father recorded it on reel-to-reel back when NPR (I’m guessing) aired it originally. Part of an episode remained after he recorded over it with the Star Wars radio broadcast. I discovered it when I was making my own copy of SW on cassette tapes. I always remembered it and then when I was old enough and had some disposable income I bought the boxed sets (LotR and SW) on CD. Love them both, but I know that they missed a special episode (“the making of”) in the SW boxed set because my dad still has it. I just wish they could have gotten Mark Hamill back for Luke and Billy Dee Williams back for Lando. Their replacements were okay, but it wasn’t the same.

That’s so cool! I’m been listening to it on YouTube, now I know that’s wrong, but I’ll have to save up in order to buy it. I’ve been short on cash due to some birthday spending and also the recent vet bills for my cat.

I don’t particularly care for Peter Woodthorpe’s voice characterization of Gollum though. I think he makes an acceptable Sméagol, but I much prefer the way Andy Serkis and Brother Theodore perform Gollum.

Here the face some Star Wars fans make when they see a ringer —->

I have a couple of HBO and Showtime series on DVD and Blu-ray as well as my Ren and Stimpy box set, which reminds me…

Nickelodeon and Nick-at Nite were once the same channel. As a kid, after my favorite cartoons on Nickelodeon ended, I used to watch their reruns of old TV shows that came on after dark.

He has VERY smelly, yellow scales where the itching first develops. Then he itches the area to death until it bleeds and once it scabs over, he moves on to the next area. It seems to be localized entirely on his belly and under his back legs around his boy area, but he has been getting the same smelly stuff in his ears and it stinks. I have to wash them out with a q-tip every few days and it seems to be the same skin issue as on his belly. It looks and smells like it anyway.
His nose is mostly raw from chewing so much, but I can feel some bumps starting on his skin like something is STARTING to develop on the top of his nose.

I feel so bad for you drag0nfeathers — it sounds like a terrible situation. I’m very sorry, but I do not have any spending money at this time. 🙁

I know, Siberians seem to get skin ailments. My husky Balto gets hot spots occasionally for no reason. When I was about six, my parents adopted a kitten for me from an animal rescue organization, and upon bringing it home we found out that it had ringworm. (That was an experience) We had to sanitize the whole house and give the kitten (which we later named Nala) medicated baths.

I just saw Toy Story 3 in an Imax theater on Saturday — how do you feel about this movie, the Toy Story trilogy, or Pixar films in general? We can also discuss other animated films or share opinions regarding the current state of the animation industry. Post away!

Here are some Toy Story 3-related clips that I found amusing:
