Wow I had never seen those before, they are so cute! I might have to keep an eye out for some too. How much did you end up paying for them?

True, but I think my husband does have a small interest in Windstone, he just wouldnt pay what I do for them and is more interested in his diecast cars.
When I got my RF OW and showed it to him he loved it- first thing he said was “wow, it looks like its going to blink at me.” I thought that was so cute.Kachina wrote:Heh, mine just says “if you want it, get it”. Gotta love him.
Jesus lady, you are so lucky! No wonder your collection has sprung up so fast. My husband dosnt mind me collecting Windstones but I have to save to pay for them myself lol.
Stephanie wrote:He is very sweet, and very bright. He’s also been keeping track of how long I can go between mentioning Windstones. We went out to dinner tonight and he informed me that I was able to go 3.5 minutes without bringing something up about them. 😆
My husband does the same thing lol. Or I will start to mention something about Windstones and he’ll just laugh and tell me he knew I was going to say something about Windstone. 😆

I used to not like the emperor sculpt either but after a while it really grew on me and since I got my first emperor (old peacock) a week ago, I still havnt been able to stop staring at him. Hes now my favorite in my collection (aside from my RF OW).
And Maebnus3- your emp is beautiful! Congrats on getting him (and in one piece!)
dragonmedley wrote:The thickness of the shelves seems the same as my Ikea thingy, but yours are much wider and deeper. My shelves have a limit of 12 pounds – I can put an emperor or one male and momma dragon.
I would start small and see how comfortable you feel.
12lbs for your ikea glass shelves? Yikes.
What kind of cabinet from there do you have/do you know the name? I have a small cabinet from ikea with glass shelves that I put my Windstones in, but I dont remember what its called and I dont think they sell it there anymore. Heres a picture of it;Is it anything like what you have? Its a little more than 3ft high by 3ft wide. If yours only holds 12 lbs that makes me worried because I have about 15-18lbs on each of the glass shelves right now.
mmloda wrote:Congrats on your Peacock Emperor…He’s beautiful… 😆 and your silver lap, I’m waiting patiently for the silver lap with the lavender eyes… 😀
Thank you! And I thought about waiting for the lavender eyed silver dragons, but when I saw that guy, I couldnt help it- I had to have him lol.

Thank you! 😀
Thought I might post my collection again since I’ve gotten several new pieces recently (Silver Lap, RF OW, and as of yesterday, a Peacock Emperor).
I need a bigger/sturdier cabinet- there was no room for the emperor, and as hard as I tried I couldnt get very good lighting going for the emperor at the top so heres a better picture of him.
And I forgot to include my Hyena Gargoyle in the picture- hes the only Windstone piece I have displayed outside of the cabinet area. Ooops! lol.
And my husband made me promise I wouldnt buy anymore Windstones for 6 months *sniffle* except for the black/peacock sitting griffin chick when he comes out again. I’ve been spending too much lately! lol.
Thats great! Can I ask, exactly what kind of makeup remover do you use? I would like to try this on my RF OW. Thanks for the tip!
Jasmine wrote:Darn, I must have missed the little griffs too. He’s so cute!! And congrats on the EM and OW, VB.
Thank you! 😀
Jennifer wrote:Were there only one each of the black and tan chicks?
I think so, I only saw one of each up for auction.
Stephanie wrote:Aww, that is sweet. I’m glad it all worked out! Congrats on your new dragon!
I am too- I had always wanted one of those dragons but never thought Id be able to afford one. 🙂
jennifer wrote:Was it? Gosh I don’t remember seeing them. I try to keep track of everything they put up.
Yeah they were. I remember wanting to get the sitting one really bad, but the bidding ended up going too high for my budget. 😥
Well I just got back from meeting the guy with the Peacock Emperor and the dragon is beautiful, he really is in perfect condition. The only thing ‘wrong’ with him is the guy wrote on the pad on the bottom- but I thought it was cute. He wrote the date he bought it, where and what number it was in his peacock family collection.
The guy was big and burly and drove a huge pick-up truck, it was very sweet to see how much he loved the dragon.Anyway heres some pictures of it and my Red Fire OW since I never posted pictures here when I got it earlier this week.
They are both so beautiful- the emperor was such a steal at $200 dollars. I need a bigger cabinet!!
Maebnus3- your griffin is adorable, I remember wanting one of those so bad when I saw them on ebay. Very cute. 🙂
Stephanie wrote:It’s hard to coordinate things like that, sometimes. Especially if the other person has what you want. I hope it works out for you, without too much trouble.
Yeah no kidding lol. We finally got him to agree to something fair, but we dont know the area at all, so mapquest better not get us lost. I cant wait to get home!
kachina wrote:Can’t wait to see some better pictures of him. (The peacock emp) I like dark colors, too. Have a safe trip to pick him up and make sure to get some nice pics for us to see of his handsome self. I just got a black gold mother with a booboo a couple days ago and didn’t like the color till I saw her in person. Figures, now I want all the black golds too. Laughing
I just bought a Brown OW. Very Happy Pictures o’plenty once he arrives and is settled in. Also have somewhere in the shipping system an emerald OW, rainbow male, and a ruby mother. It’s gonna be a great couple weeks. -happydance-
Yeah, I will defientely be posting pictures up here when I get him. I’m picking him up at 3pm so I will try to post pictures of him today, if not tomorrow. 🙂 And congrats on your purchases! You are amassing your collection so fast it makes my head spin! Lucky you! I’ve been collecting since I was 14 and this emperor will be my 10th piece.
siberakh1 wrote:I picked up a mint peacock emperor and a peacock mother for another forum member a few weeks ago from someone about an hour from me. I had a box for the mother with some bubble wrap and I used one of my plastic storage tubs for the emperor. The tub was large enough (66qt I think) that I placed the box with the mother inside of the tub, then added the emperor standing right beside it, wrapped in three large beach towels and the extra bubble wrap I had. I had some other things in the trunk as well, so that the tub didn’t slide around. He arrived safe and sound Smile Almost had a spill going into the house because of all the ice. It froze up during the time I was going getting the dragons and no one had had the time or notice to go put salt on the front walk (the back way required stairs to go down), so I almost too a tumble, dragons and all Shocked My first emperor too
Yeah its a delicate process! I still have the larger box that my OW came in a couple days ago and I think he will fit the emperor quite nicely- lots of those foam pellets and bubble wrap too of course. He’ll probably be in my lap the whole way home though. 😆
The spot does bother me, but if it is as common as it seems to be from all the responses, then I’m just going to keep him. He is a beauty, and you cant really see it from most angles.
