I have some pictures of my apartment building and the view from my balcony in another thread. I found this link for the city of Kitchener. Some really nice photos in there. Have a look.

And Waterloo.

(It would help if the zoo would put that on a sign. At least I’m sure that they didn’t list the spoonbill on there.)
I’m sure that the butterfly is a common mormon. There were so many butterflies, but, most weren’t resting where you could get pictures of them.
When I was getting pictures of the tree kangaroo, I was visited by a victoria crowned pigeon. I guess he liked me…. By the time I turned my camera onto him he was visiting some other people further down the path….

Warthog, this big old guy sunning himself. You’d almost think he was dead except for his tail and ears would move every once in a while.
I only saw one rhino, I wonder were everyone else was?
There was only one giraffe as well.
I have no clue what kind of bird this is. It was in the Americana exhibit.
I realized after I came back that my bird pictures were better than anything else that I took. Here’s some road runners
Here’s the link to my album, I’ll try to get the pictures in order soon, and tagged soon.

We went to the Toronto Zoo on Wednesday and after many exhausting hours went home with over 100 pictures, a bad sunburn and too many mosquito bites. Some butterfly’s first.
This butterfly was posing so nicely. Sadly when I tried to take the picture an overexcited kid bumped my arm and scared the butterfly away. I like how the picture came out anyways.
Some ducks that were in the butterfly house as well.
Tiger cubs (these are…. oh I forget what they are called but, they aren’t Siberian)
Red River Hogs or is it just red hogs.
Many more to come…

there’s a new brush out that cleans as you brush… it might be hard to do at first but it might be a good alternative… that she can get used to…
The Pet Groom Pro II? It didn’t receive good reviews. http://www.wnetwork.com/tv_shows/shows/The_Shopping_Bags/ViewProduct.asp?ID=467
I’m not sure does it show a picture of it… our cat loves it…
of course he gets real baths because I’m allergic to cats… 😕
Well, here’s a picture of the brush, and the add for it. http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/pet_groom_pro.html
There’s also one that I’ve seen sold in stores. Personally I’ve never tried it. So, I wouldn’t be able to say if it works or not. But, the brush doesn’t look like it would work for matted coats. This one might work for matts, but, I doubt it would do much for deodorizing. (most brushes wouldn’t….) http://www.asseenontvhotline.com/pd-ionicw_vpetw_vgroomingw_vbrush.html
For now, I’d suggest getting the cat shaved, then use a soft brush like a rubber brush, (I can’t remember what it’s called) then when the coat starts coming in use a soft slicker like this one
Then if the cat will let you go to a rake. But, if the cat doesn’t let you then keep brushing with the soft slicker but, you’d have to brush at least twice a day. Brush against the growth that way you are removing the hair that would be ingested if the cat was grooming itself. (You will also find the tangling hair faster and easier)Actually, I’ve surprised myself by telling you to shave the cat….. That’s a first for me. If you think you have all the matts then don’t shave her (it’s amazing the amount of matts I find hiding on Danny, it’s constant. He hated being brushed as well.) I found that starting with the soft brushes then going for the rakes and hard pin brushes worked for Danny. It took years to get him to love being brushed but, it’s worth it now that he matts horribly.
I think all the areas are painted. The white in the pictures is pearl. The only area that needed paint was the hair, and the bottom of the feet. I painted the hair but, I painted over a bit of the beak frill. (Or whatever that is) Since it was almost white and I painted over the spot in red I left it. 😳 Let’s just say I got carried away…
She is on her way. I’d give the tracking # but, I can’t find the receipt now…. I’ll probably find it in the morning.
Hamel Brooms has been there for a long time. Hopefully, it’ll be there for years to come. Sadly there is a Walmart planned for St. Jacobs…. All I can say is I hope the small stores don’t suffer because of it.
I wish I wasn’t working. I’d love to go.

Well, for those that care, the muse will be heading home today.
😳 I forgot to add that Bianca was a rescue. She’s horrible with other dogs since she was never around them when she was younger. So, sadly getting her into agility or anything that requires another dog, wouldn’t be in her best interest.
Strangely enough, she’s best around other dogs off leash. On leash, she will go to attack every time. Her last head collar was a halti, it was an effective muzzle at times….
She’s been to the vet. Yes, she’s been getting her normal walks, and she seems to be playing. She just is down and not eating.
They went to Woodstock yesterday to pick up the ashes, and Bianca was excited. She was acting normal. She bounded up to the vet clinic and when she couldn’t find Bingo then she got depressed again. It’s sad really. Even though he was neutered and she was mean to him she saw him as her mate.
She’ll be okay, I’m sure. It’s just depressing to see her like that.Beautiful weather today, so we went to St. Jacobs. Then on the way home we stopped at Picards Peanuts. Sadly, I didn’t think we’d stop there so I never asked if the muse or it’s family were allergic to peanuts. The muse did pick up some things to take home while there anyways.
Here is the album with the pictures.

I might take the muse with me tomorrow, we’ll see….
Since Bingo was put down, Bianca has been very depressed. My sister has tried everything. (At least that’s what she says.) Bianca has stopped eating and drinking. She was eating a few bites of chicken. But, that was it. It’s been a week and a half….
Has anyone dealt with a depressed dog before? Anything you’d recommend?
The inside box is fine. It didn’t get that wet. The outer box though was soaked through. Everything that was in the outer box has dried out just fine so no damage done.
Happy Birthday! 😀
