I know this is off topic but I had a 16 year old yesterday that I picked up from her high school because the school nurse thought she was in labor. When I asked her if this was her first pregnancy the school nurse got pissed and said to me “SHE’S ONLY 16?!” Lucky for her I didn’t hear her say that my partner did. If I would have heard her I would have informed her of the 15 year old I picked up last year who was pregnant with her 3rd child (two living children already). I do believe parents need to be informed and minors should not be allowed to get abortions by themselves. I don’t think they can make that kind of decision by themselves, they are not mature enough.
Quite frankly, in my opinion, if you are not mature enough to handle a child, you probably shouldn’t be having sex, just because of accidents happening.
But it’s my understanding that I have a pretty unpopular opinion where that’s concerned. 😉
popularity is over rated , i agree with you 10 fold . i do feel sorry for the boys who try to court my daughter 😈hope your stay at the hospital isnt too bad. Just a little thing to make the time go by you can ask for a morning paper .. even the ones from over seas . They will keep you entertained for a bit . get some rest and watch out for that hospital food , i think its the most dangerous thing there 😆

Siberakh1: well I personally am not really that affected (asides from this harmonica I was going to buy from a british website, I am not sure they would let it ship to iceland, and it is like 50% cheaper there than on Ebay, and it is like 50% cheaper on ebay than on iceland 🙁 )
it affects the wholesalers and buisnessmen and the people that have money, sorry “had”, and there have been news and hearsays about bisarre behavior,
Icelandic people being thrown out of pet-stores in Britain just because they were icelandic, an Icelandic student was thrown out of the appartment he and his co students rented in Germany (his co students were british) etc etc….
this is freakin’ ridiculous
I say go back to your roots , man a Drakkar and pillage those Britts for all its worth 😛 .
Hope things get better there , i think the whole world is going screwy ..and its probably our fault

Well I personally like Canada’s government regulated medicine. Hello not paying the $400 that each 5 pack of my insulin is worth, EVERY MONTH, plus another $400 every couple of months, plus testing stuff, etc. If it weren’t for government regulated health care in Canada, I wouldn’t be getting a university education. I wouldn’t be able to afford it. The waits on the other hand, I could live without. 🙄
thats why other people from around the world come here for health care , some folks cant wait for it. I personally cant wait months to see a doctor if i did i would die and im not willing to die just for the cost of medicine and medication to lower or so some career homeless can get to see a doctor about some booze related sickness that he gave himself . Call me heartless thats ok but there are people in this world who dont give themselves ailments that shouldnt have to sit around and wait, for people with chronic illnesses there are programs in the US that help alot you just have to get off their lazy arses and apply; with your doc behind you you will get approved its those who try to take advantage of the system who get denyed and rightfully so.. I too spend well over 475 a month on meds , maybe i cant afford a fancy education but i made a decent living doing what i did before i got sick and so can any one in America . I started at minimum wadge and learned a skill by the end of 7 years i was pulling in over 1,000 a week after taxes so i was happy .It may be tough paying that 475 a month but id rather pay that than live in a Socialist Country , like i said just ask a Russian who lived through The Soviet Union they will tell you how strong the middle class was , i have personally had conversations with a Russian guy who was a rehab nurse …. well im not standing in line for 6 hours to get some bread and milk with my ration stamps .
It kinda depends though, and you *can* pay for private here, if you so choose. However insurance doesn’t usually cover it. And you can wait less if you’re in bed with the doctor! LOL 😆
Well the wait times aren’t always bad. I mean, if you look like you’re about to drop dead, say, when I was passing out when I was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic, or when my fiancee (who’s deadly allergic to bees) got stung and reacted badly (didn’t have an epi pen yet), we got in in less then 5 mins both times, in front of a crowded waiting room.
However, for something like a hip replacement, or something critical, yeah, it’s pretty bad.
It’s not a perfect system, but I like it (well enough. Corrupt doctors who let someone who gets a hip replacement because she can’t ride her horse over someone who needs it because she can’t freaking WALK can shove it where the sun don’t shine). And that’s all that matters, right? You like your system, and it’s not perfect either.
I’m not really qualified to comment on it more then from experience, so I won’t.
And I do know a family from Russia when it was communist, thanks. My roommate is their son. Canada’s system is way better then that, according to them. I wasn’t saying pure socialism is better, but some ideas from it aren’t bad.
We just don’t agree with each other, ever, do we necron? 😀 Oh well, a good debate is always fun. 😆
yeah we just seem to be polar opposites 😛
i wasn’t just talking about medicine , while yes it is broken here badly i still think there is room for something else besides social medicine , i don’t want to see all the specialties shut their doors ..i don’t think anyone dose.
What i saw on the TV were folks wanting to go completely Socialist and think the middle class would be better for it 😕 . The guy i know from Russia told me all kinds of horror stories that i personally would never want to live or have anyone else go through .
Really the folks who are crying lets go socialist here are people that really dont want to do anything for a living and are content sucking from the welfare system but cry they are oppressed
😡 .While i do think some social programs are good i just dont trust this guy to stop at a few things he truly smells of Carl Marx to me , not to mention too many Americans abuse the social programs in place.
last night we went to the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert in down town Baltimore . The show was great it was a fusion of Orchestra , 80’s hair metal ,r&b , and of course Christmas music . The light show was really great , performers came on stage with platforms that fell from the ceiling and it even snowed 😛 . The show is cut into two pieces the first part is a story about X-mas . Im not into the Jesus for of X-mas but it was still really good .
The first part told the story of an angel who goes into a bar and has a conversation with a human about what all he saw X-mas eve night in the war torn world and how there was still hope .
The second part was all music no story just a bunch of songs from their old albums over the past 10 years .They even had an old school inagaddadavida style drum solo , the last few songs got really dark with flames and smoke pots going off every where i was in my element 😈
If they come to your town i highly recommend you see them , it was a great show and very family friendly . I just wish it were closer to X-mas for a show like this
I took some pics with my cell phone but they aren’t great , i even took a little vid . here they are incase you want to see them ..remember my phone is only a 2 mega pixel 😛

how about a Motley of dragon , a Sprint of elves , a moot of gnomes ( i hate gnomes) , a resolute of Griffins, a menagerie of Cockatrice , a Horde of Hippogrifs , A terror of Roc , a posse of Orc, a brood of basilisk , a malignant of unicorn (the evil ones)
i have too much time on my hands when the baby sleeps 😛

I do not think you need to worry about this country going socialist. There’s still too many people out there with libertarian ideals (Like me! Smaller government and more induvidual rights for the win!) that would ensure that it dosn’t happen.
However, I like to think about politics as being a clock. You start out at noon, but if you go too far either to the right or left… if you wind up at six ‘o clock, you are a fascist.
On the other, other hand… medical care is something that needs to be addressed here. I do think that prices are way, WAY out of line. A union approach to bring prices down is wrong – unions only become bloated with their own greed and power (Correctional Guard Union, anyone?). Self-regulation hasn’t worked, and has only resulted in prices skyrocketing. Something needs to be done, but I do not think it’s something that is going to be immediately obvious, or implementable.
i completely agree we need to fix this broken medical system but i just dont think Socialization is the way. The only reason we have places like the Mayo Clinics and the St.Judes are because of Capitalism, with restraints on medicine , and very few willing to give with out some kind of profit (i know it sounds bad) we wont have the specialty clinics that people flock all over the world to come to
i have always like “a murder” of crows 😈
congrats

WolfenMachine wrote:I know on the front page of some section in the Houston Chronicle, it had a picture of kids in Indonesia celebrating, joyous looks on their faces, and one kid holding up a framed picture of Obama. The picture next to it was of some village in Kenya(?) where Obama’s half brother, Malik was being hoisted above everyone’s shoulders, with the caption ” ‘We are all going to the Whitehouse!’ They shouted”. Why are we focusing on how third world countries are rejoycing?
Because Obama got rid of his American citizenship as a child, and was sworn in as an Indonesian with his adopted stepfather so he could attend school in Indonesia since they dont let undocumented foreigners go to school there because its unfair to the tax payers, why the hell don’t we do that . Hence he is a re-patriotised American and shouldnt have been able to run in the first place. And they refuse old Govenator a run at the white house , i guess any one who is sworn in as American has a shot at he office now a days .
