Took her out into the sun, updated the pics, they look better now. Still can’t really see the interference paint much, and her mane is silver and black, but the black seems to be dominant here.
Eyes are pink, I thought a vampire kirin should have pink or red eyes, and hubby said they should be pink.

Took more pics, in the full sun…helped alot.
I hope to get a good side view later, but for now this will have to do.
Here’s a side view, colors are still off though.
You can’t really see it here, but she has a lot of purple interference. Her colors are silver, black, purple interference and golds.

Well, I added some of the green and gold to my red winged kirin, and man she looks good when you tilt her just right. otherwise you really can’t see a change, but it’s cool.
I am looking forward to seeing what happens with the vampire kirin, I plan to use the purple and blue interferences on that over black, should be really neat.

they are very bright over black….so you might want to try less..or when you put it on…put more black on top…
I’d try on scrap paper or something first…
I’ll experiment a little. I used some acrylic thinner when I did the kirin, and I think as long as I keep it thin, then it won’t be too loud, but then again, loud just might look really good, we’ll see.

Hey guys, I was able to get Golden interference paints at Michael’s today. Yay!
So for those who have been trying to find it, Michael’s DOES carry them, the only color they don’t seem to have is red, not sure why.
My kirin bat wing project arrived today as well, and is in progress. Updates will be posted later, most likely tomorrow sometime.

So sorry both of your Windstones showed up “hurt”. Good thing you can fix them, but it is a shame you have to.

The one I just bought from Safiye is apparently jade. I guess I won’t be repainting him Koi, after all.
Can you post pics of em & jade together? I’d like to see the difference.
Look at the pictures before these posts…the pictures have both colors side by side. I only have a jade, so I can’t do a comparison pic.
