First I want to say, WOW! She is awesome.
Second, I think just making the hooves striped would be enough.

My best friend and roommate finally got his settlement, only took 6 years, so they ended up owing him a lot of moola.
Anyway, he got about 1/3 of it last Friday.
We have since then gone spending happy! But it’s been fun, and we still have most of it.
He bought all three of the brown hatchlings from the store.
Helped me pay for my Emperor early.
Bought us/(really me) some really cool curio cabinets for our Windstones.
Got my hubby a brand new Gas BBQ grill, ooh is it purty, we’re breaking it in tomorrow.
And we got the kids a Sunray playground, this thing has everything, slide, climbing wall, 3 swings, monkey bars, fort, rope wall thingy, sandbox and picnic table.
We also picked up the dome climbing thing.
So we have really been busy…tomorrow we build the playground…gonna take all day.
Put the dome thing together tonight, Alex is in heaven, loves it.
I am most excited about the curios and the new dragons coming.
Anyway, just thought I’d babble about the goodies.
We will be building a fence next weekend. Once the refi is finally done and funded.

Also, did he suggest a glucosamine supplement, and if so, which one?
I have a few suggestions to add, once I know what your vet already said.
Also, are your dogs overweight at all?
KyrinThe vet put him on Rimadyl. I have also started giving them 500mg of glucosomine sulfate and MSM along with their food. They are on Nutro-something for seniors and it also has glucosamine added. He is not overweight. They look about 4 years younger than they are. They are a great looking pair. Rab was 114… which IS about 5 lbs heavier than he was the last time he was there, but still not fat at all. Vet even said he was very strong.
The Rimadyl should help quite a bit, but it takes about a week before you really see much improvement. it is a really good anti-inflamatory though.
There is a really good supplement that has all the goodies in it that works really great, and the dogs love it. It’s called Synovi-G3, ask your vet if he can get it for you. If not, it is available without a perscription so do a search on the net and find the best price for it. Get the chewables, dogs love them so much, my friend Angelina’s dog knocked over the tub and ate the whole thing once!
When I was working for a vet for 2.5 years, the Synovi showed the most improvement in animals that started showing signs of hip problems and arthritis.
Good that they aren’t overweight, if they had been, i would have suggested a diet to help take some weight off, since that contributes to the problem.
Anyway, I hope the Synovi-G3 will help.

Congrats! So glad you got something you really wanted.

I’ve found that the consistentcy is too sticky after the initial mix up. So I’ve been letting it sit after mixing for about an hour.
If you mix it up and then wash your hands immediately, it comes off. If you try to work with it while it is still in the really tacky stage, it sticks to your hands and doesn’t really come off easily, even if a scrubber I still had some on my hands from yesterday.
So I’d wear gloves until you’re more familiar with it’s properties.
What I have been doing is filling in the areas I want the Apoxie Sculpt in, then let it set in place until the material is a bit stiffer. It helps to make a little ball from the mix and use it to test firmness over an hour or so, you have about 3-4 hour window to work, and I’ve found the best time for detailing is in the last hour. Best time to get it to adhere to the surface is about 45 mins after mixing.
Anyway, hopefully this helps.

My turn I guess.
When I was about 7 or 8 I was poggo sticking in the gargage, it was raining and the garage was the only place I could. There was a small puddle of water in there, and I landed on it. The Poggo stick went flying out from under me and I landed on my face. Broke my front tooth, it was one of my permanent teeth. Other than that, I was fine, my Mom mourned the tooth.
It now has a veneer on it, and you would never know it was ever broken, but I’ve got pics of me when I was 9 thru 12 where the break was evident in every school pic.
When I was 9, I was skating down the sidewalk…you know how when you hit those parts where someone is using gravel or bark you kinda just step around it on your skates. Well I could do this just fine when there were a bunch of rocks, but I remember this clearly, there was only ONE rock, and I thought, I’ll miss that. Nope! Hit it dead on and came to a crashing halt, right on my left wrist and broke it.
My 7 year old brother is still my hero of that day. We were latchkey kids, and he is the one who put my arm in the kitchen sink in cold water, and called Mom at work and told her he thought it might be broken and she needed to come home. Took xrays, they declared it badly sprained and splinted it, next day, called back, “Uh, sorry, we were wrong, it’s broken, bring her in for a cast.
When I was about 12 I stepped on something sharp, still don’t know what it was, probably glass. Cut my foot deeply enough that I ended up with 8 stitches. Here’s the funny part…while I was getting it numbed, I swear numbing hurts more than just stitching it would, my Dad passed out, which freaked me out, cause Dad is usually the pillar of strength.
Took a bad fall of my mare at full gallop, she took it in her head to run, and I lost a stirup and balance, she wouldn’t rein in, and my balance went out the window completely, THUMP! Oh man, my body was so afraid it was damaged it would not let me move anything, it felt like I was lifting a house just to move my arm. Needless to say, jumping up to catch Cricket was out. She saw I was moving okay, and then trotted the 2 miles back home without me. I cried all the way back, feeling bruised, hurt and very betrayed. Some well meaning idiot had fed her, but left all her tack on her when I got there. Didn’t even look for me, or wonder why Cricket was there, alone, untied, in her tack, OUTSIDE her pen.
I’ve had other things happen in my life, got tossed off a stallion once, had two choices, aim for the fence or choose the ground, since it was a small arena and Tony was freaking out, I chose the fence, bruised my sternum pretty good, but at least I wasn’t trampled or kicked.
Funny incidents where I wasn’t hurt, outside of my ego was when I decided to ride Cricket down to the barn to fetch her her dinner without any means of steering her, she walked under the tree where she fit fine, but a rider didn’t. I got swept off into the mud. Sad thing was, I had just showered and changed into clean clothes, had to start all over.
I guess that is it for now, if I think of any more, I’ll add to this.

If you would like me to hold her for you, I can. No rush to get her sold off at the moment.

Who says you can’t…have you ever tried?
Kyrin
Well no, but I have tried making my own clay sculpture before back in grade 12 and it came out like grade 3 ish… although my David came out pretty nice… hhmmm… I think I would still be afriad to try… what if I totally screwed it up and ruined it??
If something is already broken, technically it is already ruined, so what could you lose by trying?
However, do not now start thinking you will fix that Emperor! He’s mine! Talking about that, I will be sending you funds for him later today!
Yay! A new dragon for me…happy dance!

dragonessjade wrote:Oh that is really cool. You think you could fix a hawks castle? I don’t have any of the missing peices, and you are closer to me so it would cost less to ship.
Maybe, as long as I have reference pictures, I should be able to.

I just got that peacock mama and the white hatcher on eBay for $41!
It is so sad, the mama overall is in terrific almost new condition, but for that huge chip out of her tail. The hatcher also looked new, sans half his muzzle. Poor little guy.
Both will be repaired this weekend.
I am just happy I got them both so cheap, been wanting those two for a present for a friend.

Thanks, GB! I’m really proud of my fix it job, couldn’t have done it without that Apoxie Sculpt, man that stuff is cool.

Kujacker wrote:Oh wow!! He looks STUNNING. And you did him so quick too! Thank you SO much! Man he looks awesome~
Just let me know how much, and what address to send it to and will do!I actually had to force myself to walk away from him long enough to take my son to go see the sturgeon at my work before I got too wrapped up to take my son as promised.
But I opened him up and was jigsaw puzzling the broken bits before I left. All of your wingtips are originals. LOL!

WolfenMachine wrote:WOW Kirin..you did a great job 🙂 Can’t wait to see him painted. Did you get any tips from Melody or Nam, or did you just wing it?
Just winged it. I’ve been repairing ceramics for years. In fact just last night some friends came over with a casualty their kids had killed. Grandma made it thing, oops. It had been broken once before, but I fixed both the old break site and the new. Looked pretty good when I finished.
The Gargoyle was a bit harder. I actually used some of the little bits in the bag Kujacker sent to set up the wings and where the tips went. Also the whing tip on the left wing was completely obliterated, except for the very tip. So I rebuilt the wing and put the original tip into position.
I think the hardest part was rebuilding the right ear.
