Okay, you guys have convinced me to allow her a shot at a new home.

I think perhaps I will paint myself another someday, perhaps with butterfly wings, but for now, she’s up for grabs.

Starting price is $100…best offer gets her…offer taking ends this Sunday at 5pm.

The wings are actually a progression from top to bottom of gold, copper and the orange I made for the chest and back scales. Once they were antiqued though the gradient kinda blended and now looks like one color in the pics.

I will take some front and rear views tomorrow, this was just a quickie snapshot, since I finishd him tonight and really wanted to show you guys.

The antiquing really brought him all together, I have to admit I really like antiquing. I wasn’t too sure about the yellow in the beginning either, but I had hoped the antiquing would tone it down and it did.

I can see some progession of color in the wings. So where are the views from other angles? 🙂

Umm…I got lazy? I guess I could take some shots today.

I want them all, but especially the female and chicks.

It matters…you won’t get a smooth finish when done.

I’d rinse under the sink real quick before starting work each time, and then wrap it well in its plastic bag between…hopefully you are almost done?

Acrylic once dry will not run or come off under water, unless you work at it, so a light rinse shouldn’t hurt anything.

Yay, surgery is done, recovery is imminent…I like it.

And ooh fun, getting to watch everyone squirm while you tease them. LOL!

No, I don’t know what the surprise is either, but I confess that watching all of you comment about the waiting is entertaining…ain’t I a stinker?

Wow…. that’s really cool… I totally never would have thought to do that kind of thing…

The quagga zebra species is being slowly recovered through careful breeding, but it is still offically extinct still. And since unicorns are said to not exist, I figured the two were made for each other.

Also, I love zebra stripes, but wanted to be different, so in went the purple colors and quagga coat pattern.

Glad you guys all like her, I am still debating on whether she should go on the auction block.

I have one more unpainted unicorn here, with brown eyes, any suggestions?

Also, what do you guys think of the idea of butterfly wings on a unicorn?

Got any indoor shots? The sunlight washed out her colors. I like what I can see though. I’d keep her.

Actually, she is faded from the shoulders back, quagga pattern fades at that point. So the pics are accurate, with the exception of the brightness on her shoulders on both views.

This girl is gonna be hard to part with, I love her so.

I based her pattern in the Quagga, but did it in purple and lavender to match her lovely eyes.

I like her so much, I am not sure if I want to sell her, what do you guys think, should she hit the Flea Market or eBay, or stay with me?

    Comments, as always, welcome.

    Wonderful job, he looks great!

Now I really wish I had fought harder for that black wiz that was on eBay last week.
