Yeah, apparently they’d had an issue with the two different trains of cars being out of time with each other, and colliding. 0_0
I had never been on rides much before our California trip, so I wasn’t sure how I’d deal with them even though I love high speed and flying with a passion (I suffer from vertigo though, just a bit). Turns out I LOVE rides, especially roller coasters. Gotta try more! I think I’m one of those roller coaster thrill junkies. 😈
Oooh, yeah, Soarin’ was awesome! I didn’t try the roller coaster, but it was out of order anyway (I should definitely try it next time, if it really isn’t all that bad as you say, Chessie!)
We were lucky when we went because it was off-season, and mainly weekdays, and so we mostly dealt with low fellow-tourist volumes only. Hardly any waiting and not much crowding (I hate crowds of people too). By the weekend, we had to contend with an added influx of locals, but it wasn’t so bad.
While I don’t have lupus, I know how you feel intimately. I have suffered from autoimmune disorders since birth, and sadly, despite myriad blood tests for the last few decades, I still don’t know what I have. Could be rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, lyme disease, or anything really… I am currently being tested for hemochromatosis as it runs in the family apparently (just found out a month or so ago).
I know how it feels… when your body has outpaced you in age and you feel like you’ll never catch up. The pain, the exhaustion, never having enough energy for everything you want to do on a daily basis (never mind the long term goals… getting out of bed can be difficult enough).
I suppose finally knowing what you have can be seen as a good thing; now that you know, you don’t have to worry about what dire things may or may not be wrong. You at least know what to do to alleviate your symptoms, even if it means having to be a pill-popper for life, and adjusting your lifestyle. With any luck, you’ll be able to push the envelope (in terms of what projects you’re up to undertaking) a little more once you start to get it under control.
My best wishes are with you, and I hope you begin to feel better soon. Don’t let it overwhelm you, and take heart in knowing there’s plenty who care about your well-being.
I went for the first time a couple years ago now already, when I was…. 26? Getting old. ;D I loved it and wanna go again! ^_^ I think it’ll be Disneyworld next though. *G*
That is DAMN gorgeous.
This one feels like I’m gazing upon a storm-swept sea, or a wicked north wind personified. I positively love it. Well done.
Beautiful. I think the lion is my most favourite. You handle different ‘styles’ and techniques so well (sumi-e, heraldric motifs, etc).
He’s totally smiling in that first photo…
Such a handsome cat!
Apparently it was $35 according to nikebiz.com
Wonder if that’s just a warm fuzzy PR story though? It seems to have elements of each of your stories, however.
emerald212 wrote:lol Well, I was hoping to get more action figures! Like the InuYasha ones. I only have three and none of them are the main characters, except the bad guy. I don’t have InuYasha even. *sigh* They’re hard to find around here, and I’d rather not pay for shipping unless I really need to.
Heeeeee, toys!!! Nice collection in all, emerald! I was trying to pick up a Sesshomaru myself, but the InuYasha figs have gone missing here too, for the most part. If I see any around here (they come and go in waves) I should let you know.
And yes lamortefille, but their loss is my gain! I love the oriental in person too. 😉

*snort* I know, that struck me as funny when I typed it too. ;D
You may also wish to get a recent copy of your credit report(s) from all the credit reporting agencies (Equifax, TransUnion and one other, I think), and check to see if anyone’s stolen your identity and possibly made applications for loans in your name. A credit check by banks or other lenders should show up on your report if the application went that far.
Which reminds me, I need to order copies of my credit reports as part of the suggested annual check to be sure they have all the right info (they’re TERRIBLE at maintaining it, and have my previous employment/addresses always in the wrong order). The reports are free if you order by mail (charged via credit card if you want them immediately online).
That’s ok, I don’t mind, green is cool too. It was probably just the difference between our monitors/color displays or something. No biggie! It wasn’t a great pic to start with as I said, and like a DOPE I didn’t verbally confirm the colours (brain fart, my bad -_- ).
Anyway, it’s a long and old (and probably not very interesting) story behind the choice of having mismatched eyes for the character (was really what I meant, sorry!) 😉
Er no, I don’t think carving into these would be wise. *LOL* I don’t blame you for being reluctant. 0_0
Yeah I figured it was easy, but you know, you bothered to buy one specifically for that purpose, and simple things make me happy. 😉
The odd-eyes are a trait of the character of mine she was working from (originally blue and red).
I just think it’s so cool she went to the trouble of ordering one with mismatched eyes for me. ^_^
Yeah I loved the idea of black unicorns when I got him as a Grade 8 graduation present. He’s one of my favourites. I saw one at a pawn shop in town for $125 CAD more recently (and the black baby uni for the same price 0_0 ). I really wanted the baby, but there was no way I was paying that much for a second-hand, slightly ding-ed Windstone. I had bills (as usual) to pay. ;P
I’m LOVING the look of that gold emperor on the first page though too. He’s gorgeous! And it’s not even my favourite sculpt, really.
Thanks. ^_^ I love my little collection.
