The roller coaster is fabulous. It was more fun (and less scary!) than I thought it would be! The experience was just one tremendous “WHEEEEE!” with a few screams and heart palpitations thrown in. It sucks that it was closed when you went.
March 12, 2007 at 9:51 pm in reply to: Has everyone updated their clocks for daylight savings? #550708Heh… I am still blundering around without any idea what time it is. I hope my computer updates this stuff automatically, ’cause if it doesn’t that means it’s nearly 4 already…
Then again, it’s silly to be worried since my clocks are always wrong anyway. Or at least they are when you compare them.
Ooh, they have Soaring at California Adventure, here. It’s so neat… and since I’m a bit scared of heights it really freaks me out. I love it.
Brown with blue would be gorgeous… but then I am a total sucker for those colors together. Especially when it’s a dusty sort of blue.
😀 So a friend of mine took me to Disneyland for her sweet 16 party… I am so exhausted from it (still) that I can’t really do anything else besides post, haha! I need a nap! Anyway, we stayed at a hotel in the California Adventure park and did the two-day thing. It was a lot of fun, but, to be honest, I don’t think I will ever need to go to Disneyland again. XD So. Many. People.
The best part was going on the Screamin’ roller coaster at California Adventure. It’s the first time I’ve been on a loopy roller coaster–and it was so different from what I expected, there isn’t any sensation of being upside down! I thought it would be nausea inducing and stomach twirling, but it wasn’t. Also, my friend made me go on Tower of Terror… which is quite aptly named, in my humble opinion. I couldn’t stop shaking for like five minutes after getting off the ride.
Heh… so, anyway. Anyone else been to Disneyland recently? I can’t believe how much BIGGER it seems since the first time I went, which was when I was 7.
Now… pardon me while I fall asleep on the keyboard.
Poem? It should be more like a theme song!

How bout Skippy?
Hahaha! That fits him so perfectly it’s hilarious!

If people have a problem with me or not! 😯 If its something big and I have just totally offended or step out of line, then I would like to know… but if I just annoy you? Keep that to yourself 😆 That could be so many people for so many reasons.
Just because you can say that makes me like you, Ski. 😆

I really don’t know how you guys do it! I can never find anything… haha…
Some forums have a rule about staying on topic, but I think an honor system would work much better here. 🙂 You guys are awesome. And if anyone ever feels rude about outrightly asking people to stay on topic, you can always just say something like, “Well, anyway, back to what we were saying…”
And… man, I laugh so hard sometimes. Like now. Nice signature, Phil the Dragom.
nessiemom wrote:Chessapeaka wrote:That would be so awesome… Do you need special tools for it? The way I did it was by wrapping wire around a paintbrush handle, then linking bits together. It was lame.
I usually use a mandril, but as long as the paintbrush handle is a uniform thickness, it’d work, as long as your wire isn’t too heavy… The hardest part about that (I think) would be keeping an even tension while you were winding. And a mandril doesn’t have to be fancy… We used ones that were just a couple of pieces of wood with a metal rod to wrap the wire around, until one of the metalworkers got creative! If I can find some pics, I’ll send them to you…
And I forgot… You just need pliers and something to cut the wire. End nippers work wonderfully…Ok, cool! Thanks for the info, I’m going to have to try this again. Maybe the wire I was using was just too thin.
Oh, and I didn’t mean making chainmail was lame! I meant that the bracelet I ended up with was lame. ^_^ It fell apart!
Wow… that looks like it was AMAZING. I can’t believe you got to see giant slugs fighting… *laughs* What an opportunity. And I had no idea there was a place where whales would just come up to people and want to be petted. That’s crazy.
ALL RIGHT!! I think we all have the Griffin Chicks to thank for that one.
I hearby declare this the Chickie Achievement. 😆
I’m guessing some people bought multiples so they could sell them to the people who didn’t get them. I mean, it’s not like they’re just hoarding them for their own enjoyment.
Holy crap. O.O
I’m sorry to everyone who missed them. 23 seconds?!?! Good lord…

Hmm… not a bad idea… But I don’t think we’re that evil.
