Hannah, be careful who you call unfair. YOU were sent one of the youngs that I just mentioned, even though my wife really liked it.
I understand the rule is to keep the loyal customers happy, but are we not loyal customers too?I could completely understand if we had somehow cheated the system in the past, but we’ve been sitting here for the past day trying to think of just one instance in the past couple years where we could possibly have upset the company in any way. Other than waiting for 3 days for my paycheck to pay for an ebay item for her birthday last year, I can’t think of one time we could have peeved the company. If we did anything that seemed crooked in the past, I sincerely apologize, but whatever it was we obviously don’t know what it was that we did wrong. If the issue at hand is fairness, why was my family the only one to receive an e-mail asking to please stop placing orders from the store? We were lucky enough to catch the first batch of young unicorns, BOTH of those unicorns were sent to other forum members who had been tied up at work that day and didn’t make it in time. Both of them. So be to told that she’s not being fair to other forum members feels pretty crappy.
Wampus Dragon, my wife and I are just like you and your sig other. I have about 5 large solid colored dragons on a bookcase, she has over 100 bright multicolored things all over the house. Chances are if she doesn’t like it, I will.
I wasn’t trying to make you feel bad, chrisherself. It’s just a frustrating incident.
The topic of this thread is similar to the e-mail received this afternoon, so I KNOW it was directed towards my wife SPECIFICALLY. What hurts is that it’s assumed that it was done out of sneakiness. The only thing sneaky about it was me trying to get a great gift, one that I KNOW won’t disappoint. They weren’t purchased to be held for ransom on ebay. Heck, they’re probably going to get traded here on the forum like the last one I got her.I never had the need to post here before tonight, but it was such an upsetting incident that something needed said. I only started this account to buy gifts for my wife without her knowing (and the occasional old warrior for myself, LOL).
What do you get your wife for your wedding anniversary when your wife only likes Windstones? Would you get her Windstones?
TO CLARIFY THE ISSUE that is getting blown out of proportion here is this:
I placed a Windstone order yesterday to get my wife (who is a very social forum member) the things she talks ENDLESSLY about for our anniversary next month. She didn’t know anything about it until she received an e-mail basically telling her off for being sneaky for placing more than one order for the same household. Needless to say she was confused by the email and of course upset. I told her I was the one who placed the order from my personal Windstone account. She was still upset, then she saw this thread and instantly felt called out publicly on the forum. The point of making these things is to get them sold, right? Always having a high demand for an item means more get sold and the business prospers. If you’ve found a product that is as wildly popular as these things, focus on it! Why tell off the customers for forking over hundreds of dollars for them?!
I could understand if my wife was a troublemaker, but she’s been faithfully collecting these things for over 10 years. I’m upset that my wife was made to feel like a heel and she’s upset that a company she’s stood by for so long would make her feel that way. Just because two packages are going to the same address doesn’t mean they were placed by the same customer. To be called “unpleasant” and “disrepectful” is hurtful. All this over sparkly little horses? I don’t get it! Sorry I spent my money here, I promise I won’t do it ever again. -
