You have found a way to keep me busy for an hour and 35 min and 6 sec! LOL
October 1, 2007 at 9:22 pm #622715This is a tough question. There are not many movies I will go out and buy, but there are a few (no order):
A Man for All Seasons
Gattaca
Labyrinth
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Catwoman (yea, it was bad, but I liked parts of it)
Rudy
The Matrix (the first one only)
Night at the Museum
Beauty and the Beast
X-Men tilogy
Equilibrium (like The Matrix, but still good)There are a couple of others, but can’t think of them right now.
October 1, 2007 at 9:49 pm #622716Ok, I admit it – I liked Catwoman too! I thought she did a great job as a cat.
I also really like Soldier with Kurt Russell – not a good movie but I’ve seen it several times.
Anyone like old movies? Errol Flynn’s Robin Hood? (some of the best sword fighting scenes ever) Harvey? Mr. Smith Goes to Washington? And for comedy it is hard to beat Bing Crosby/Bob Hope’s Road movies.
October 1, 2007 at 9:51 pm #622717hmmmm….that’s a tough question…
LOTR trilogy
Indiana Jones (all of them)
Pirates of the Carribean Curse of the Black Pearl
The Mummy (Brendan Fraser version)
Robin Hood (Kevin Costner version)
All of the Star Wars movies
Beauty and the Beast (Disney)
Aladin (Disney)That’s a start…. 😆
October 1, 2007 at 10:03 pm #622718Favorite movies! The ones I watch over & over:
Apollo 13! I couldn’t count the number of times I’ve watched it.
Star Wars (the original!)
The Mummy
LOTR (Fellowship, mostly)
True Lies
Princess BrideGosh, there are probably so many others…
Old movie favorites: Hatari
October 1, 2007 at 10:41 pm #622719Lets see there’s
Consperacy Theory
Princess Bride
An old 80’s horror: House
Labyrinth
Fox and the Hound
Last Unicorn
Um, that’s all I can think of right now.October 1, 2007 at 10:48 pm #622720Add another one to the Princess Bride list. 😆 What else? Legend, Labyrinth, Last Unicorn, Dark Crystal, Anastasia, Titan AE, Fantasia, Fantasia 2000.
Things that actually get watched on a daily basis in my house are the movies Pixar has done. My son LOVES them and constantly asks for him. I can’t tell you the number of times I have seen Cars, A Bug’s Life, Finding Nemo, Incredibles and Monsters Inc this summer. He at least will throw in Peter Pan and Shrek 1 & 2 occasionally.

When I was little, I had The Flight of Dragons on VHS and I would let the video auto-rewind and start playing again… I’d watch it 2-3 times per day. My parents were so sick of it! 😆 I still watch it, sometimes.
I can watch Dragonheart more than once too. Even though I know the ending, each time it makes me a little sad! Doh!!
The Flight of Dragons… was that a cartoon type movie? And something about a man getting stuck in the story he was reading as a young dragon and the older dragon had to teach him how to fly and breathe fire??? I remember watching one like that when I was a kid. Just wondering if it was the same one!?! 😛
It was animated yes! You got the story close. He created a game and got sucked into it, where fantasy is real, essentially. A magic spell gone wrong trapped him in Gorbash’s body (young green dragon) and Smrgol (older brown dragon) had to teach him how to be a dragon.
That’s the dragon and the george, the first book of a book series called the dragon knight series by Gordon Dickson I believe. Good book, read the entire thing in the library over a few days.
I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~
Engaged to a WeaselOctober 1, 2007 at 11:10 pm #622722My two favorite movies are the Great Race, and Duck Soup. After that its Tombstone, the original Star Wars Trilogy , Raiders of the Lost Arc, LOTR, Evil dead: army of darkness, and so many more I can’t remember them all. I love movies.

October 2, 2007 at 12:30 am #622725I LOVE all Disney annimationa and own most of those. Leave ti Dsiney to make up some so many forest characters and in amimate objects. In real life (human) movies my favorite has to be Ever After with Drew Berrymore and Anjelica Huston as the EVIL step Mother!! The role she was BORN to play. I LOVE the twist that one of the sisters was actually nice. The Scenery is AMAZING. Robots is another favorite of mine. I LOVE the Fart scene we talked about that before
October 2, 2007 at 12:56 am #622726Another one I can watch over and over it Taxi 2 (c’mon, Blackdesertwind, tell me you’ve seen it!). ’tis French, though, so not many people here might know it.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.
