Spanky is my new dog – You are not going to believe what Spanky did this evening. I have a wrought iron style raised feeding station for him. He caught the circle his tags are on in in while eating his dinner. He has been using the same feeding station since the 1st of May. He raised up and it came with him – he shook it and ran around the kitchen and hallway with me chasing him. I finally caught him and got him lose but I had food and water (also ice – he likes ice water) all over the kitchen and hallway. It took quite awhile to clean up the mess. I usually clean house and mop the floors on Thursday – that part got an extra cleaning and mopping today, After thinking about it later I had to laugh because it was funny. I have had 4 cool, calm and collected chows – Spanky is no. 5 and I think he is payback for the laid back ones he can manage do anything. It’s a good thing I love that dog because if it can be done he can do it. I think he should have been nmed Trouble.
Im sorry… but I giggled out loud!!! I wish I could have seen it. That totally reminds me of when Bacchus got his paw caught on that sticky mouse trap and I was trying to get him away from the trapped mice while a dog I was fostering was trying to eat the cat.
It reminds we of the Ray Stevens song “Wonderglue” where the chorus goes something like this:’

LOL That’s what happened to your dog 😡 Funny and glad you were HOME when it happened, can you image what could have occurred if you weren’t home?!!!! I’m not sure I would leave the collar on, while away from home 😉
About 20 years ago, back in the day when people actually used flea collars (would never and have never any more!) – my cat Flicka was wearing one, and I got home from work and found her salivating at the mouth, spit all over the floors, and that darned collar was stuck on a tooth in her mouth ::sigh:: It was absolutely horrible, and I never had any of my cats wear a collar of any kind, after that! 🙁

Collars scare me :/
My cats are strictly indoors (and they’re both afraid to go outside, even if I leave the front door open), but I did buy break-away collars for them at one point. Just never did use them.
