You are far more patient than I Aky!! I’d have long graduated from the desk to the nearest concrete/brick wall!! And be doing something we here can do, report it to the TV Stations!! 😈 😈 They like good there screwing us over very badly stories!! And they get things fixed and on the ball fairly quickly, ’cause no one likes that bad of PR!!!
And then I’d work with a contingency of my fellow students and sue them for “Just” what I(we) am entitled too, the full refund of my Tuition, books, supplies and living expenses while I’d been enrolled, as well as what would be needed to cover the same at another facility for the entire duration of the program from start to completion at that location, as well as the costs associated with the transfer to such. And if they tried to say “Well that’s too much” just remind them that what they have done is to set you back that far and the mental and emotional grief of having your life far less the same for your creativity, which is supposed to be your livelihood from graduation on, and that if you would rather you will ask for the payment in full of potential wages lost as well, with the knowledge that these wages would have been earned well until your 70’s!! But then again I can be quite a Bitch!! Imagine having to fork out those costs for even just 20 students?

oh should the days of sueing my school come…

hehehe:) you just got me musing about how much I shoult charge them for:

        going to bed early everynight
        getting up early every morning
motivating myself to go to bed early
huuuge motivation to get up in the morning (winter fees!)
skipping breakfast because of nausea and buying coffe at the station (3$ per cup)
walking to and from school in the dark
        carrying a laptop
        using an overfilled train

if I should sue them ever. If they continue this rubbisdarn.
eh, any creative price inputs prettyplease?
        *g*

As much as possible. And just to rub it in, you can let them know how many OWs and SKs you can get for it afterwards.

          they’re at it again.
if it werent 21st century I bet they’d light torches, get forks and go for the “oh lets burn all fantasy artists!” hunt

Poor Aky. 🙁 I still haven’t made it to your place. It probably won’t happened before Portugal, though.

Its getting harder and harder day by day, the depressing fact is that you find them on the “most powerful” places. And they are more hardheaded EVERY TIME.
The first time when they hacked my head for fantasy it was my teacher at art school. This time it was 2 teachers at “high school” for art education.

I gave them 3 portfolios, of which one was the animations with fantasy elements, horses with horns, winged beings.
They thought that because of that I would force all my students to forever do fantasy until they turn gray and old.
They got this idea out of the blue. Even if in my biographie description I told (in a metapher): I see myself as an explorer that wrote a map of the places I explore(d). I am here to tell the students what terrain they are to expect, what basics they may have to bring along in equipment. Their goal is theirs to chose, I will accompany and be their counsil. There will be white spots on the map that they can explore and find themselves.

This is narrowminded, they say, apparently it also says that 99% of my lessons will be one and purely fantasy. ANd they are convinced that kids will be bored if I do more than 3 fantasy lessons. Dreams and surrealism are boring fantasy too. The very “childs play” (when kids play with dolls or portray themselves as grown ups in play) is all of the same not so good fantasy medium.

and the best of all was, it was a friggin application interview. So all I could do was friendly counterremarks with a smile. A “use a big spoon to scope out the tomatoes from your eyes” would have been more adequate but not possible in an interview.
            So
            results are due tomorrow.

if they dont want me I want it black on white. And if I see one f***ing fantasy word in that paper I will
            bring
            them
            to
            court.

            Portugal? when? wow!
I want holidays too! Man, you lucky girl!
eh, its not yet 3/4 years ago since we’ve had a reallife chat(our lenghties record for living like… 20miles away of each other) so things will be fine 🙂 Just drop me a line when you’re back, kay? Did you study the book in detail yet? I’ll try to have Katturan Odyssee for you next time 🙂

            take care and bella vacanze!

            edit:
one more, this guy is more than an artistic inspiration to me, he helps me a lot through this battle thing…
Whenever I read this (I do so almost daily, as its on my desk) I am reminded that these words were written down for me to give me strenght and that they come from none less than the perhaps most famous Swiss fantasy artist, someone who was part of the biggest fantasy movie trilogie made up to date.
And there is so much truth in them.

            let the battle begin

I’m in Portugal now, and it’s beyond awesome. 😀
Yes, I read through the Star Wars critters book and scrutinized every detail. I need to buy my own copy. I’ll get in touch with you for a meeting… How about when Wolfen is in the country? Then you can meet her too.
