I’m in need of a sympathetic ear 😳 . Here’s my problem…
A few weeks ago I made an offer for an Emerald Scratcher on ebay. The seller accepted my offer and I made the purchase. They in turn sent me an tracking number. Well, the tracking number didn’t work. But it was the weekend and sometimes the post office does’nt update until the next. So I waited and waited – number still didn’t work and still no dragon 🙁 . I contacted the seller again – apparently they messed up on the package and the post office still had it. So they inform me that they got it resolved and the the item was reshipped with the same tracking info. The kicker is the tracking info STILL does not work 😡 . I tried contacting the seller about it a few times since then but they haven’t written me back. The dragon was sent priority mail – so it should have arrived by now. I never had this happen to me before, and it’s really bumming me out. I’m starting to feel like I got screwed. It would be one thing if I could track my dragon, at least I could say the seller DID mail him out, but as it stands, I don’t think I’ll ever get my Emerald Scratcher – which I really, really wanted 😥 . I’m going to try to contact the seller again, and hope this can be resolved….January 20, 2009 at 8:55 pm #497462January 20, 2009 at 8:59 pm #749549*pats* 🙁 Good luck!
January 20, 2009 at 9:06 pm #749550You used Paypal, right? Send in a dispute. I’d consider doing it soon or you will lose your opportunity. IF the seller cannot prove that they shipped the item ( you know, with a valid tracking number) then Paypal will probably rule in your favor and offer the refund. I’ve shipped literally thousands of things with the USPS and their tracking has never ‘not worked’ .. there is sometimes a delay as you’ve said but there is always some record of the item. Get a refund, then if your dragon turns up somehow (undamaged) you can simply pay her again right? 🙂

My art: featherdust.comJanuary 20, 2009 at 9:32 pm #749551Is it possible that the number you got was a delivery confirmation number and not tracking? I’ve noticed that a lot of times USPS won’t scan in the number on delivery confirmation items and you won’t see an update until it’s actually delivered (which is really annoying).
In any case, Jennifer gives good advice – definitely contact Paypal if you think it should have arrived by now. Good luck! I hope you get it straightened out!
January 20, 2009 at 11:32 pm #749552I’m under going the same problem. I never recieved my e-bay dragon purchase as well. I am currently trying to resolve the issue through paypal. Hope it works out because like anyone, I hate getting taken.

I thought that to at first, but the number that was given to me says it has NO record of even exsisting. I wrote the seller a few hours ago again – and no response, still. I’ll give them til tomorrow, but then I think I will have to contact PayPal to get this resolved 🙄 . I appreciate the advice from everybody though.

Have you tried getting their contact info and calling? I’d still file a paypal claim tho. :negative:

That’s my next course of action – to call them that is. But, yeah, difinetly going to PayPal to make a claim.January 21, 2009 at 9:48 pm #749560I hope everything works out for you and you get the dragon – or your money back
January 22, 2009 at 12:40 am #749561Yes, a paypal claim, even if you don’t move forward with it and the item is received… if the seller isn’t holding up their end, sometimes it can give that ‘nudge’ to make them get on track in a much faster manner than if left to their own devices. I waited too long on something I ordered once and missed out on the timeline (I thought I had longer than I did and I kept getting the run around, very slow response time, etc…. I got my windstone, but it was missing a stone, which is replaceable, and a COA, which is not… and was stated to be part of the auction). I’d say you’ve given fair effort in trying to contact the seller.
