I’ve got this deep ‘itch’ (for lack of a better description) to write – the problem is I’ve no idea what to write about… Sounds kinda weird, but raising ‘multiples’ really ‘stops up’ everything else about you except for the basic instinct to survive the moment. Most folks think that having twins just doubles everything, when, in fact, it’s all exponential… (Sorry, I digress…) So – how do I ‘unstopper’ my creativity? It’s been bottled up for nearly 13 1/2 years… I’m stuck… Any thoughts????

That’s what I’d do. Just let it flow, even if it silly or nonsensical.

If you want to write, you have something to tell (multiple somethings, if you’re like me). Is it a person’s story, whether real or not? A place’s? A “what if”?

List them all. Read your list over and see which one grabs your attention more, then go with that one and develop it.

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

The problem is, there is nothing ‘there’. It’s just one big echo… I feel ‘squashed’.

Do an Internet search for writing prompts. Maybe one of those will help break the writer’s block.

That’s one thing nice about Livejournal (where I keep a blog). The have a “Writer’s Block” question that changes everyday to give you something to write about. Today’s “Writer’s Block”: How long could you survive on your own in the wild?
