November 7, 2008 at 6:23 am #738896Medley’s book. She posted a link to excerpts and information somewhere, but I can’t remember where. I’m curious too, Medley! Isn’t it already published?
November 7, 2008 at 12:20 pm #738897Hahaha! Not yet! I sent it to a publisher in March. In August, I got an email saying my story had made it through the first two reviews, and that it was with a editor for a full read (it means 2 people wanted to read on after the first chapter, I think). It means they’re interest, but of course, at this point, it’s not a sure thing. I hope to hear back from them before the end of the year. If it is a positive answer, after Warp10 manages to get me off the ceiling, I’ll probably have some rework to do (I’m guessing), then the actual publishing process takes quite a while. I have a good vibe about it, so keep your fingers crossed for me.
In the meantime, I’ve finished the first draft of another story (sci-fi), which is with beta-readers now, and right now, I’m working of the sequel of the story that’s with the publisher. My series is called A Dragon Medley, the first story is called Green Dragon, and the one I’m working on now is White Dragon.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

While preparing to submit to the publisher, this is what I posted.
http://www.windstoneeditions.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6604The comments were very helpful; I used all the ones that fit in. It worked, because they actually opened the attachement after reading the blurb! This is what I sent:
Meeryle, a blooming chubby cook, and her friend Leena, the apprentice-Healer, never knew how strange and interesting life could be until they met a dragon. Much to their surprise, the creature is not a ferocious carnivore, but a gentle giant caring for a particular aspect of their world, the forest. However, the mistrust of anything not human puts the life of the dragon – and the forest in which they live – in danger.
That would be more than enough but Meeryle is also unknowingly hiding a huge secret from everyone, including Leena, that will put their friendship in peril. Can they overcome their own differences and save their dragon friend – without losing everything?

November 8, 2008 at 3:38 am #738900Congrats, so far. Keep us updated when you hear something.
November 8, 2008 at 2:04 pm #738901Yeah, the wait is kinda stressful. That’s why I just move on to another story; that way, when I actually do hear back, I’ll forgotten about it (yeah, riiiigh!).
I will let you guys know for sure!
