Well, still. OWs used to fetch what the SKs fetch now.
June 6, 2007 at 2:29 pm #583441Is it a sin to lust after a dragon so much? =P~

That is CRAZY!

Yes, they did. This is one of the reasons Melody is leery about ‘flooding’ the market with too many new things at once. But she’s trying to keep everyone happy! 🙂

I think she’s mostly doing a great job 😉 now if only we can all get our hands on silver and violet/flame OWs ;)mwaha!June 6, 2007 at 10:34 pm #583447Anonymousskigod377 wrote:Is it a sin to lust after a dragon so much? =P~
I won’t tell anyone, it can be our little secret.

I’m probably wrong, but I think it was the first prototype black gold OW that went for an insane amount. I think it was $4500.00-something.
June 7, 2007 at 12:41 am #583449I can understand a SK going for $4K but not an OW at least not in my opinion. I know they are similar and OOAK’s ar wonderful but that is a lot for an OW. I was surprised my 23KT OW did not go that high
June 7, 2007 at 12:55 am #583450Price is all subjective and relative. The idea of spending $4,000 on a dragon statue will get you very different reactions from say, someone that makes $10k a year vs. someone that makes $100k. 🙂
I personally think it’s crazy what people spend on these guys (though I truly appreciate it!!) but that is relative to my position just because I don’t make enough to warrant even buying a $200 dragon. If I win the lottery and suddenly have thousands of dollars of ‘fun money’ then my relative opinion has changed and spending a few grand on a dragon is nothing to blink an eye at.
I hope I make sense. 😀

June 7, 2007 at 1:07 am #583452The only thing that I’d add is that it would be more accurate to say that the determining factor is how much disposable income one has, instead of how much one makes — the latter can be much higher than the former. 🙂

My art: featherdust.comJune 7, 2007 at 1:16 am #583454Nma you make sense. I would LOVE to win the lottery too so I could get out of debt and buy a house with a Windstone or DRAGON room. That would be AWESOME
