That’s a beautiful cat.
I can kinda understand spending that kind of money on a special animal. (I wouldn’t; y’all know what I spend that kind of money on.) When I see prices like that for house pets, though, I can’t help thinking of all the kitties or dogs or other animals that are just as pretty, sitting in shelters and waiting for adoption.February 25, 2009 at 11:36 am #752607Adaneth wrote:I’ve drooled over Savannahs (‘Ashera’) cats before…but at that price, I’ll keep sticking with my ‘cheap’ $1000 Bengals, thanks! 😆
And I used to think that bengals were expensive 😮

Agreed. There are tons of animals in shelters just waiting for someone to love them. I have purebreds and the vast majority of them are either rescues or were abandoned.Looking for Blue Fawn Baby Kirin
Sanguine Oriental Test Paints, kinglet

Agreed as well, I dont know if I will ever buy another purebred dog again, it just seems so wasteful, but that is what our society is all about isnt it.
February 26, 2009 at 4:45 am #752612That’s a gorgeous cat, but um…$22,000? 😮 Both of my cats were free. Sneezer was abandoned when his previous owner decied to move and not take Sneezer with him-and Callie was found in a box by the side of the road(along with her brother and sister) I wouldn’t trade them for anything!
I’d like to see the people paying 22k for a cat go adopt a pair from a shelter and make a $21,850 donation 🙄

That would save a lot of innocent animal’s lives.

March 2, 2009 at 1:40 am #752615All that and a not a pretty cat either. I’d feel gypped. I’ll take the rescues any day over that cat, and over just about any pure bred cat too. All of my pet except fish were rescues, and I’ll be continuing the trend for many years to come.

Someone got gypped >.<
But I guess they are throwing the leopard in there too, but still….. a tenth of the price????
I don’t know if they are the original founder as claimed (they all claim that, c’mon most of them are lying) but I’ve heard some good reviews. When I have the money….. *sighs*
Despite having said this, desire doesn’t necessarily equal action. I would still get kitties from humane societies over a purebred anyday. Especially the adults who often never find their forever home (and I’m not home enough to take care of a kitten, but home enough to satisfy an adult – who’s not Kimi >.< she's not happy unless I'm home 24/7).
I think I’m rambling now…. (goes off to study)
