Hey, I am hoping to gather a bit of of a forum group who are familiar with wordpress who might be able to help each other with tech problems!
Here is my problem, do you have any advice to offer?
Problem:
My site is set up to allow registrations so there is a bit more security when ordering items from my webstore. Well this morning, I started getting a massive registration attack. Like every 5-10 minutes. It wont stop. My spam filter is stopping the comments on my posts, but not the registrations.
My Questions:
How do you a.) tell the difference between real sign-ups and spam sign-ups as many of these are legit emails and b.) prevent them getting through. They are jumping right over my captcha.
Possible solution?
I have installed a new captcha to see if it helps.
Have any of you familiar with wordpress had this problem? How did you solve it?
Thanks!
