I get to go to Buckcherry, yay, I am so excited.
http://www.myspace.com/buckcherry
in case you dont know them
And I am also going to meatloaf in march, wow, I am so excited, FYI, I am 30 and have never gone to a real concert, I feel like I missed something from my youth, 😆 .
January 8, 2007 at 6:34 am #524630I was 24 before I went to my first concert…
it gave me a headache….I had a friend that worked at American Airlines…and he got tickets to a concert for us Cher’s farewell concert…since it was at the American Airlines Arene in Dallas….he got to get tickets on the 7th row, we saw Cyndi Lauper and Cher it was cool, that was my second….
and a friend here got us tickets to another part of the Cher farewell…that was the third….
and the last one a friend of mine was supposed to go with me…and flaked….so I found some stranger to go with me…
that was fun… 😯
So I’ve been to 4 and I’m 30…I have a friend that goes to at least one a month..
the freakJanuary 8, 2007 at 6:38 am #524631I like concerts. Of course I’ve been to more classical than rock. But I’ve been to a few. I saw U2, which was fun, though I was so far back I couldn’t hardly see the stage at all. The best one though was The Floydian Slips, which is a Pink Floyd tribute band. I was RIGHT up at the stage, like… I could have reached out and grabbed the lead guitarist by the ankles. And they are REALLY GOOD, nearly as good as the original!
January 8, 2007 at 6:39 am #524632Buckcherry isnt a real concert, they are playing at a bar here it is kind of a rough place too, last concert there was a stabbing, LOL should be fun though. I also have a friend coming up for it, woohoo.
Meatloaf there is a group of 4 of us sitting togehter, then a bunck of people that my hubby works with are also going.

yeah 7th row was close for us too…you could see the glitter in her eye shadow…and Cyndi came down in the crowd and was like 2 ft from me…
I never knew she was that short…. 😯
January 8, 2007 at 7:08 am #524634He he he. Well, I didn’t have close seats, they had a… er… is there a proper name for it? Moshpit, dance floor, whatever you call that open space, in front of the stage, so if you were brave enough to elbow folks aside, you could get right up there.
It was awesomely high energy. Everybody there was a crazy Floyd fan, people sang along, and did the hammer salute thing. Nobody danced, cause you can’t really dance to Floyd. (They did an album once titled “A Collection of Great Dance Songs,” which was irony because none of them are dance songs.) I had to turn down two circling little pipes though, and somebody got really high and/or drunk and climbed onto the stage and flashed everybody, then fell off of it. It was really crazy. But fun.
Next time I go I’m wearing a black paramiliatary outfit with a hammer armband. I’ll look like I belong up on stage or something. I love excuses to wear weird costume stuff. *bounces*
January 8, 2007 at 7:17 pm #524635I have been to all kinds of concerts.
First one when I was 13: New kids on the block.
Others:
AC/DC, Blackhawk, Little Texas, Conway Twitty, Vince Gill, Styx, Cinderella, Kiss…so many others that I can’t remember.I have been to lots of shows at bars as well….mostly saw local bands.
January 8, 2007 at 7:22 pm #524636I saw that Styx was doing a tour this year. I SO want to see them, but they’re not going to be anywhere near me.
January 8, 2007 at 7:26 pm #524637I have seen them twice. It is really a good concert.
My fav was Kiss tho because they had lots going on and you were never bored.
January 8, 2007 at 7:29 pm #524638I’m sure Kiss would be fun, but I don’t like their music that much.
I just wish I’d been able to see Pink Floyd. So sad that they broke up.
January 8, 2007 at 7:30 pm #524639Yep, that is the way it goes. People and their egos….at least that is the reason most of the time.
January 8, 2007 at 7:31 pm #524640Yeah…. it stinks. Roger Waters still does tours, but him by himself is not the same.
But at least the Floydian Slips are really good, so I can come close. And heck, they’re less expensive, and I’m pretty sure at a real Floyd concert I wouldn’t be anywhere near the stage, so there are good points to seeing a tribute band.
January 8, 2007 at 7:43 pm #524641Yeah there are good points. I haven’t ever seen a tribute band, but my friend’s husband was in one for a while.
