July 24, 2010 at 7:51 pm #821976I love the various colors on the wings of the glossy ibis and the white-faced ibis. I think this color scheme could transfer over to a griffin.

That’s so funny — I came up with some griffin color concepts myself and one was also based on a duck. (Albeit a different species)
Melody —> How about using the color scheme of a Mandarin duck?
Very regal and griffin-like, no? 🙂

Yes it is! — that should work perfectly Heather!! It’s feathers possess a certain richness, they sort of evoke stained glass to me. 🙂
