I will not be on much the next few days, if at all. I have been having trouble focusing with my left eye so I finally called the Eye Doc today. He sent me to a retina specialist ASAP Turns out that I have a detached retina. There is a tear in the back of the wall which caused the retina to detach. We have surgery scheduled for Tues. In the meantime I am not supposed to be reading, walking or lying on my back. Anything that would cause excessive movement or bouncing of my eye or cause the retina to shift more.
I have a graph to look at 2 or 3 times a day to see if the vision is getting worse. Right now if I cover my right eye and just look with my left it’s like looking at a funhouse mirror reflection, all wavery like. 😀 If it gets worse over the weekend I’m to call and they will take me in for emergency surgery. I’ll probably check in once a day and have my kids read posts to me 😆
“See” everyone in a week or so 😉

GOOD LUCK!! I’ve known a few people that had this kind of problem, and most have recovered just fine! (The one I can think of off hand that didn’t had some other problems, the detached retina was just icing on the cake so to speak…) You’ll be fine!

        Wishing you a speedy recovery!

(although you’re probably not going to get this until you’re all better….Oh well..Best wishes anyhow!!

Good luck Khat. Youre in my thoughts, heart and prayers. Im sure all will turn out well.

My mom had eye surgery on her right eye a few months ago and because she just cant sit still, she didnt follow doctors post-op directions and screwed up her retina. Right now however (after a stern doc lecture to boot), she is recovering very well. And, shes way much older than you are!

I know youll be fine but Im sorry youre having to deal with any of this, regardless.

Warm fuzzies, lots of love and hugs xoxo

I agree! That’s how I like to spend my free time. And I had just started a new Steven R Lawhead book 😡 😆 Maybe I should have my kids read it out loud to me like they are these 😉
