Whee! Got a CAT scan finally (insurance refuses to pay for anything and I’m not even allowed to cancel the policy HUGE rant grr! :x, so the doctor got the state to pay which bites) and the doctor says the lump doesn’t look like it’s invaded the surrounding tissue, so should be an easy out yay! I’m being lined up for surgery (state also has to pay so what good is insurance then but to make some faraway fat cat richer?) but it should be a quickie; the doctor can follow the fold of my nose so the scar shouldn’t be visible. I may get a black eye from it though, depending on when the surgery get scheduled it could be fun for my wedding!
Getting married on June 1st. 😯 More than kind of quick, but it was how things worked out on many fronts that was when it worked out best. I’m not having any real event anyhow; I hate being in the center, so it’s just an exchange of vows in front of the pastor and family/a few close friends. I’m not even getting a dress (yay I don’t like dressup). No parties and no honeymoon; money’s more than tight since I’m the only one with a job (good thing I have 2) at the moment of 3 adults here. (please I pray :squeak: hold off on the old green OWs and anything else I can’t live without!) Make up for it later!
I mentioned that I sort of co-own one of my Australian Shepherds with a very close friend who’s a show breeder (Jeannie Petty of Blue Skies Aussies in Dunnellon FL; she has a website). She wanted a litter from my dog- she gets part of the litter and i the rest, she’ll help market them. Abby was bred a month ago and it looks like puppies are on the way! They should be here around the 1st of July roughly. The bitches from Abby’s line tend to be great mommas with big litters, so hoping for a big healthy litter. Should be lots of show potential here too. I’m hoping that the old green OWs hold off until next fall, when the pups would be going home to help pay for one! She usually gets $800ish for pet pups.
Plus though I don’t show conformation myself, she had a family emergency and I showed a dog she’d gotten in from New Mexico to handle at a show on May 3rd and 4th. Thanks to his physical quality and basic mental soundness, he’s now International Champion Alta Vista All Cinched Up. THAT had me nervous, but now my fiance says we have to show Abby next fall when the show circuit returns- he’d never been around it before, and loved it.

Welcome back! Good luck with your vow renewals, sorry about your insurance; I guess you’ve been paying into an abyss since you don’t see a return on your investment. 🙄 Congrats on the puppies; I hope you get good money for them! I’m glad the lump is removable; just put a steak on that eye if it goes black! And congrats on the dog show!

Wow makes me glad I’m in Canada where when our insurance says it will pay, then it will pay up to a certain percentage (at least for drugs, I think for treatment it’s basically covered).
Sucks about your insurance… greedy bastards 👿 .

I had an Aussie; she was off the activity level scale even by Aussie standards. Think “Energizer Bunny on Crack”. 😯 God, how I miss that dog. She was just waaaay cool. I used to take her with me on trail rides.
But one of my best memories of her was the night she smoked 3 Border Collies in flyball. 😆
