So recently I bought a new computer (FINALLY!! YAY!!), well, I guess I should say I bought computer PARTS! My brother and I put it together only to find that the power supply is defective and I need to send it back (insert super sad face here). So now I probably won’t be able to play around on my new computer for another week or so. Not a big deal! I found this adorable game that works on my crappy computer that won’t even let me play World of Warcraft anymore!

It’s free to play, which means that you can play around on it up to a point without paying a dime. Some areas (around level 10ish) become off-limits unless you have a membership (monthly fees for the membership are $10, or if you have more than one account $6.00 each – not bad at all!), and all of the coolest mounts are purchase only, but I’ve been having a good time nonetheless!

The battles in this game are turn-based, much like the days of Final Fantasy. You have 30 seconds to choose which card from your deck you are going to play (6 cards are randomly chosen for you from your deck at the beginning of the battle). It’s definitely different from any other RPG that I’ve ever played before, and the graphics are reminiscent of Playstation 1 days, but it’s still a lot of fun! As my boyfriend told me the other day, he likes the game because it doesn’t pretend to be anything that it’s not. Many free to play games at this point are trying very hard to be JUST like World of Warcraft, and because of that they fail. This game is definitely trying to be an RPG but it’s made it different enough that it’s fresh and enjoyable.

Anyway, I thought maybe some people on here might find it fun, so here’s a link!

And here’s a screen shot of one of the first areas.
