What BDW said. That’s one of my favorite PYOs to date.
Oh me also!
February 5, 2008 at 1:06 pm #661880OH WOW I love him. Green is my favorite color. I can see exactly what you mean with the Moss in snow. *sigh* I’ll watch for the auction just to torment myself I suppose. No money as my husband had to fly to MI for a family emergency. I’m sure you’ll have no problem getting bids though 😆
February 5, 2008 at 2:25 pm #661881It’s too bad you don’t paint OWs, Nam, because I think an OW in this color would be spectacular!

I guess I could always ask! I never have because I really don’t want to ‘compete’ with Melody, Oly and D_Z… do you think my ‘style’ is different enough?

$6 admission (includes access to the NY in Bloom annual flower show too!)I bought a carved jade bear last year (he’s a few pounds) and some amber. I may get some fossils and a lapis chunk this year. I need to see what is there that catches my eye (and how much money I have left after windstones ). I definitely need some little stones for my pyos (that are affordable… I eyed a garnet last year for a pyo, until I found out it was $95… so pretty…)
*CRIES!* That’s the only show in this area all year, and it’s just too far away to make it possible. We’d have to get a hotel room because we wouldn’t want to drive 10 hours in a day just for the show. 🙁 I really wish I could go. Picking stones is so much easier in person than online.

There is one in Sayre, PA at the end of March and several others I noticed in Ohio (not familiar with the locations in Ohio).
If you really wanted to come out, I could ask my parents (dad didn’t seem opposed to the idea) about letting you stay the night (my brother is away at the moment, so his bed is free). I just have two cocker spaniels (one is very noisy, but settles down). Just PM me if you do want to come. 🙂

February 5, 2008 at 6:00 pm #661885I think your style is very distinctive – I can tell from the small posts in the gallery if it is one of yours without seeing the name on the gallery. Wouldn’t it be fun to try an OW? (there could be cookies involved!) The OW is my favorite pose – I would LOVE to see one you did!

Hmm. I’d love to paint one, he’s my favorite pose too I think. 🙂 My brown OW is one of my very favorite Windstones.
Tell you what- if I get some more interest for it I’ll ask. They might say ‘no’ though! I wonder if they have many blanks right now… casting is nearly at a standstill from what I understand. 🙂

Aye, I know about ’em, I just can’t find a way to get there. I don’t dive (much or far, yet) so my poor husband has to cart me around. 🙁

My art: featherdust.comFebruary 6, 2008 at 7:05 am #661887I second the request! I want to see some OWs – yes, that’s plura – done by Nam!
February 6, 2008 at 5:30 pm #661888Yes, Nam should get to paint an OW! Even though, there is no way I’d be able to afford it… it would be very cool to see what she does with it.
February 6, 2008 at 8:25 pm #661889OUTSTANDING and yes I would love to see you do an OW.
February 19, 2008 at 11:57 pm #661890February 20, 2008 at 12:04 am #661891Wow, he’s stunning!

The only gem show near me is the Chicago Gem and Jewelry show. My mom lives 45 from Chicago so I can always crash at her place. I’ve been once, I bet you’d LOVE it.Looking for Blue Fawn Baby Kirin
Sanguine Oriental Test Paints, kinglet
Sun Dragon Koi #3February 20, 2008 at 3:57 am #661893Yay they did a “face shot!” I love it when those are included on auctions. Those will draw me into an auction more than a full body shot any day.
