That griffie went for over $900 too! I watched it, knew I couldn’t bid, but sometimes I watch things just to see how much they’ll go for. Then I’m glad I’m not the one paying the bill! But he was gorgeous! Would love it if Melody makes that a production! 😀

Adaneth’s right, I was just viewing the source and hunting down the URLs. =) But if you don’t want to do that, you can always center the big version of whatever it is on your screen, then hit the PrtScn button on your keyboard. It’s like a screen capture and can be pasted into any image editing program…where you can then trim it down to just the photo. e.e Or you can just right click on the images I’ve posted here, because they’re save-able unlike on ebay~

Print screen is a waste of time for me… way too much trouble, so I never do it (print screen, putting it into a image editing program, cropping then saving… ugh).
I know about, and how to get URLs from the source pages, but I wondered if you were doing anything special (or if your browser allowed right click saving of ebay… since all browsers work a bit differently). Guess not!October 1, 2009 at 11:41 pm #783439Try using the blue icon for Internet Explorer; it might be the browser you are using that is causing the problem.
AOL uses a version of Internet Explorer. When I use AOl to get online, I can right click and “save picture as”, or I can just “copy” and paste. When I use FireFox to get online, I cannot save my pictures without saving the whole web page. Also when I use FireFox, the right-hand side of forum pictures are cut off; the same picture through AOL is complete.

Guess not!I can still rip off pictures from eBay auctions by right-clicking, but then I’m still on obsolete IE7. 😉
October 2, 2009 at 12:12 am #783441Yeah, I use Firefox, so I can’t right-click ebay pics to save. o.o; It’s not enough of a problem to make me switch to IE tho. >>;

I wonder who won it? My internet conked out completely about ten minutes from the end of auction, but at the same time, I’m glad I didn’t spend that kind of money. Right now, I really need to be savng it. >.>
Windstone collector in remission. 😉

You don’t have to switch to IE permanently. You can use FireFox and IE at the same time, and IE is already set up and available. 🙂 My email is through AOL, so I always have that running, but you cannot open more than one application of AOL at a time. 🙁 I have icons for IE and FoxFire on my taskbar, and they both allow multiple applications of their browser to be open at the same time. I can keep an eBay page open on AOL, a forum page open on FireFox or IE, and surf on other open FireFox or IE applications simultaneously. If I find an image I want to copy while using FireFox, I can open IE, locate the image and copy it…….all without closing down or losing any of my open pages that I want to keep open. It is really convenient to have more than one browser open at a time. 🙂

Not sure if this is what you’re referring to as source pages, but you can save photos from Ebay with Firefox with “View Page Info”. On the Ebay auction, I click on the image I want, click “Enlarge” on the Ebay page, then right-click and click the option “View Page Info”. Highlight the “Media” tab at the top of the new window that pops up, and then click “Save As (located on same window)” to save the image (the enlarged image should be the first address that pops up). You need to keep going back out to the Ebay auction and enlarging the individual images you want to save for the “View Page Info” option to appear; it won’t show up when right-clicking the other images that can be browsed/enlarged from the new gallery window that pops up. Because of the required return to the Ebay page, if you plan to save all the photos from multiple auctions, probably easier to pull up IE.October 3, 2009 at 8:23 pm #783449*scratches head* I’m not saving the pictures. o.o; I just hotlink to ebay. The source being the window that pops up and shows you the html code when you right click a site and go down to “View Page Source”…at least, that’s how it goes in Firefox. Anyhoo, I know I *could* use IE, syn…I just refuse. >.>;
And now, here are the two new auctions! This looks more like how BDW does it, eh? Plus you can click the pictures now too. >.>v

But that can pretty much be called as source. That way is just a tad easier than what we were talking about though. Pretty much all the same though 🙂
