Yeah . . . there were six when I checked it a few minutes ago. Then it dropped to five. At that point I couldn’t stand it any longer and grabbed one. He looks a lot like our old orange butterball kitty, rest his pilfering little soul. (Bad encounter with one of our dogs.)

Old Nami always had an eye for sneaking in where he shouldn’t, and stealing whatever food wasn’t nailed down. He never did live down the embarrassment of the night he got locked in the chicken coop, though, and Pea the fire-breathing peahen was waiting for him at sunrise. Nami, son, we told you to stay out of the coop . . . . This sculpture looks like what he hoped he’d look like the next morning, instead of huddled in the corner behind our big Sussex rooster, with scrapes all over his little pink nose. 😛

Aww, these little guys look similar in color to my vintage purring cat, just with a richer orange. The old one leans a little more toward brown.

Blame the extra nudge at temptation on me. I saw it at six and nabbed one. I’d love to see a calico one, but I’ll be happy with this little fellow to go with my doggie 🙂
