Congrats, drgnlvr!
RiDuvessa, did you win the Poadβ’? Or the Sun Dragon?
Congrats to whoever nabbed the kitty. The Poadβ’. The sun dragon is gorgeous but I just bought the Gold Pearl and I didn’t want to stretch myself too thin.
February 4, 2009 at 6:27 am #741460Oh, that’s right. The Poad is way cute – how many E-Bay Poads do you have now?
February 4, 2009 at 8:05 am #741461yeah, I got the kitty too. He’s a cutie, and he has 5 brothers and sisters waiting for him in their display case. I wish I could post pictures of them, but I messed up the last pictures so badly the last time I tried, I’m reluctant to try again, at least for a while. (See October 2, 2008) Maybe with a little more practice with my camera and some help, I can try again some time. I would love to post the pictures, I”m really proud of the collection, it’s up to 249 at last count, but the picture taking is just so BAD! Anyway, Thank you for the congrats on the kitty! I do appreciate it!

(Because I want to see the new additions from the last four months…)February 4, 2009 at 3:11 pm #741464Why is a Peacock SK listed on e-bay??
Is this one different from the regular Peacock S/K in the store for $850???
I can’t access e-bay right now so I can’t look at the auctionFebruary 4, 2009 at 3:14 pm #741465It doesn’t look any different from the ones in the store. Windstone is probably just trying to make space.
February 4, 2009 at 7:42 pm #741466I’ve wanted a Peacock SK for a long time, like I’m sure a lot others as well. There were 2 in the store last week and then they were gone pretty quick. I’m wondering if Windstone took them out of the store to ebay them for more exposure. That being said I know they would have sold from the store in short order anyway’s. Being from Canada I kind of missed the boat on buying one when our dollar was on par with the US one. I was new to the forum then and didn’t even know about the SK until I saw them on here. By the time I was getting my head around purchasing one for $850.00 they were sold out. Then our dollar tanked and now I’m looking at another $200.00 + premium to buy one, which makes it that much harder to justify. I know others outside of the USA must feel the same way, what with currencies and shipping costs involved. Oh well I know I will get one eventually, why, I think you all know why. :yum:

I can’t access e-bay right now so I can’t look at the auctionIt’s a BIN, so I’m sure it’s to get them sold.

I can’t access e-bay right now so I can’t look at the auctionI don’t think it is any different but from what I understand is that it is limited from description in the auction:
This is a “Secret Keeper” dragon painted in the color peacock. Peacock is a retired color on our regular production dragons, but is being offered as limited production on the Secret Keeper sculpture. And here is the pic from the Windstone store (they are the same picture):
February 5, 2009 at 1:29 am #741469It’s the same as the ones in the store. Like the blank PYOs that Windstone lists on eBay, the price is the same as in the store. Windstone does it to try and get some further exposure, especially for those that are unaware of the Windstone Store. After all, it’d make no sense otherwise, since Windstone has to pay eBay fees on the ones they list on eBay and thus make less off of the sale.

My art: featherdust.comFebruary 5, 2009 at 1:34 am #741470that’s kinda what I thought when I saw it…trying to reach a larger audience with their products. clever, and a good way to gain new customers who’re just randomly searching dragons on ebay. π

February 5, 2009 at 7:47 am #741472The eBay peacock SK is the same as the store ones. It is not our last peacock one, but it is close. We have one or two more that we will probably be putting up in the store again, eventually.

This is interesting. See, Susie and I thought it was a good idea too, putting a Windstone up as BIN for people to see and help us get exposure. However, certain others (not naming names! π ) think its a horrible idea, because they are paranoid that if people see one of out BINs end without selling, it will somehow tarnish our image, or something…
