Sorry but I just had to VENT!!
I was just reading of our new member and her layaway situation.
This weekend I was so upset. I have been keeping my eyes out for Eindstones for myself and other here. I found a store in San Jose CA that had the Rianbow and Ruby Emperor’s. I bought the Rainbow for Arlla and delivered it to her on my birthday trip to the Factory. Everything there was find and worked very well. Dragonessjade wanted a Rubt Emperor and I remembered that even though they are retired this San Jose store had him. I called on wednesday and they still had him, when I asked the price I was told $270. The enitire sale and money sent to me was based on the $270 sale price. I called back on Saturday to confirm the sale for Sunday and they had him pulled aside and boxed up (which I reboxed for shipping) but I was now told the price was $299, this is the regular Emperor price anyway so I just got him, but I cave Jason the sales man a pece of my mind for the misquote ove rthe phone. When I opened the box to repack him in my Emperor box I’m using to ship him in there was a price tag on the bottom from the store for $269.99. This is the 2nd dragon I had bought from them totalling over $600. I called the store as soon as I noticed this price tag and he tried to argue with me that since I agreed to the higher price I should pay it. I told him even though I was not happy with it I would have paid the extra and covered it since as far as I was concerned I had the money snet and needed to deliver the item BUIT they had thier stored pricetag on the bottom on the item. He still coudl not understand that it was a store issue. Finally after telling him that if they did not make it right I would NEVER do business with them again and woudl tell EVERYONE I knew to never do businees with them again he finally said they best he could offer was $300 out the door including tax for the Emperor and a store credit for the difference which I took.What is happening to good customer service.
I even told him I was a collector and he tried to use that against me saying as a collector I should know that prices might go up. I should have told him that as a collector I know that the prices on the Emperor’s did not go up until after the Ruby Emperor was retired so his price should NOT have been affected by the increase.
I finally got a very nice tinket box for all my efforts and Dragonessjade is getting her Emperor. I just wish it had not been so difficult to get it done correctly.
Sorry for the vent but I was FUMING this weekend

Maybe he thinks you are bluffing about how many people you know and how much your word could affect his business. Perhaps you should direct him to the Forum… 👿

I almost told him I know Melody personally and would report his store if they did not cone thru but it was a store problem not a real Windstone problem. I understand about mis-marked items but when I saw the actaul price tag that was when I get hot under the collar!!! I was also jsut dealing with a sales person I do not know if he was in management for the little retail store.

I’m not sure if I should give out the name of the store(Armor Geddon in Oakridge Mall)since they finally came thru with an exceptable solution for the problem. hehe

yup! i did go there alot, mostly onw eekends..i remember they had a rainbow emp there iw anted to get(prolly the same one you got lol)

It was all done by their store computer so I doubt he was trying to keep money. He kept telling me that the first person quoted me wrong because of the price increase on the Emporor’s and I was fine with everything, since the Emperor’s are now $299, I was just going to pay the difference but as soon as I saw their price tag on the felt I was fuming

They said they were just waiting to get a shipping quote. I should have just bought it and sent it to ski myself! They never got back to her! 👿 Same store!

I agree with Jasmine. If its still bothering you, its not too late to call them and ask to speak to the owner. Stores are legally obligated to sell merchandise for the marked price. Otherwise, you would have chaos — any store owner can say the price was mismarked and you have to pay more once you say you want to buy it!
Also, if you’re unhappy with them you can report them to BBB.

Well I also feel it was partially my fault. They do have signs saying that they do not offer refunds and you can only get a store credit.
I should have opened the Dragon at the store to solve all this right then.I just tried to call the store to talk to the manager and it turned out my sales person Jason is the manager at least right then.

I wonder if that is the Rainbow Emperor that I ended up buying and bringing down on for my birthday for Arlla??
