I got my approval from Melody months ago…now I just have to get the tat. My tattooist is in the process of moving and won’t be open until mid-March. Phooey!
I would like to see pictures of everyones’ tats, too.
February 14, 2008 at 4:50 pm #665516Got mine approved! YAY! *dances with joy* If all goes well with me in the next few months (which I doubt) I would like to get it done before summer.
My most wanted list: Peacock kitty wizard, carnelian mouse wizard, copper patina frog wizard, autumn leaf poads, pumpkin spice kitties
February 14, 2008 at 5:02 pm #665517*shudders* I’m interested to see all of yours, but as for me…needles and I dont mix, I dont like’m! 😯
February 14, 2008 at 5:59 pm #665518Same here on the needles issue.
But as my friend put it: if it were law that you HAD to have at least 1 tattoo or else you’d be killed… what would you have done? I thought a good few minutes and said that I’d have the freckled – face thing that ‘Dax’ had on DeepSpace9. Now that I know I could have one of Melody’s creations…. I’d change that answer to a FlapCat.February 14, 2008 at 6:02 pm #665519Me too, most likely. 😀
February 14, 2008 at 7:13 pm #665520I’m scared to death of needles; the idea of getting a vaccination horrifies me. When I need to get my tetanus boosters I quiver in fear worse than a little kid!
But getting a tattoo was totally different. It was a ‘scratching’ sensation, not at all like being pricked. I actually could zone out and it was over before I realized.
I love designing tattoos! I’ve designed them for several people who have had them done. I still want a few more tasteful tattoos. Still deciding on what.

heh, my brother was like that with needles. He did something stupid and had to go to the hospital and get a tetanis(spelling?) shot…it took two nurses to hold him down and one to prick him and you could hear him screaming all the way down the hall and in the waiting room…”OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!” in a little girl voice, I still laugh at him about it. he was like 10 then.
My brother and sister want me to get a tattoo. They both have one because my mom told us we couldn’t have any…so they want me to get one too. I said as long as they pay for it, sure, I’ll get a little dragon somewhere.
Nam! Want to draw a dragon for me to get? 😀

Second that. My dentist has to get me high on nitrous oxide so he can shoot me full of novacaine! Once the shots are done they can turn off the gas.
February 14, 2008 at 8:22 pm #665523I have a slight fear of needles, but I’ve learned to deal with them. That’s why anymore tattoos I get have to be on my back…that way I can’t look at the needle hitting my skin, that’s what freaks me out. If I get a tattoo in a place that I can look directly at (like my arm or leg) I’ll be tempted to look and then I’ll end up running away with a line. 😆
But I’m not as bad as my sister, she needs to have people strap her down or lay across her so she doesn’t get away!

February 14, 2008 at 8:38 pm #665524I used to have to get allergy shots twice a week for years. Needles don’t faze me at all. And I’m still waiting (going on 10 years now) for my bf to design a tattoo for me.
February 14, 2008 at 10:12 pm #665525I’m terrified of needles too. When I got my first blood test when I was… 12? I was screaming and flailing around, and they had this HUGE guy standing in the doorway in case I tried to run away. x.x In the end they gave up and cut my finger instead. XD
But now I have to have like 200 blood tests a year so I don’t completely freak out any more. I do still get horribly sick and feel like throwing up the entire night before, and I can’t look at the needle or I’ll pass out.. ugh.
But tattoo needles don’t bother me at all. I have thirteen so far and want a bunch more eventually. 8D;
February 14, 2008 at 10:35 pm #665526I’ll never get a tattoo. I’m not afraid of needles. After allergy shots, and working as a vet tech…. But, the allergy test is enough for me. I can’t ever imagine getting a tattoo.
Funny thing is, I wanted a tattoo so baddly until I was old enough to get one. Then I just didn’t want one anymore.
February 14, 2008 at 11:15 pm #665527I have no desire to EVER get one
February 15, 2008 at 1:49 am #665528This one that I’ve asked melody permission for has a lot of meaning behind it. It’ll be nice to have a tattoo to remind me of what I’ve been through. The one I have now is my first one and that’s basically the reason for having it. Eventually I’d like to get a portrait tattoo of my cat’s face.

February 15, 2008 at 1:58 am #665529Getting shots and getting tattoos are two different things… I am not a big fan of needles but I have 5 tats… and I intend on getting a few more. 😀
