Does anyone else have an Ebay glitch where they can see listings for Windstone auctions before they are actually up? When I view the ended Sand dragon auction, at the bottom I see several auctions listed under “dont miss these related items”. One of them is a ‘Emperor Penguin Mother Griffin #1’. If you click on the link, it says the auction doesnt exist. But I bet in an hour or so, it will be listed since these auctions are scheduled ahead of time. The same thing happened for the Lichen Curlie and the Woven Poad. I saw the listings before they were actually listed. Does this happen for others?
‘Edit: Yep, there she is. She was listed 40 minutes later.

March 4, 2011 at 3:19 am #837486I loved her at first sight. Then after a while I was kinda “meh” about it. Then I fell in love with her again while photographing her. Please bid her up so I don’t feel bad about not getting to bid on her 😀
March 4, 2011 at 3:21 am #837487I like her. Very different. I dont think I’ve ever mentally pictured a penguin griffin. And there it is.
Will there be a matching male and little grey penguin griffin chicks?
March 4, 2011 at 3:32 am #837488yes, there will be chicks and a male. female looks the best though.
March 4, 2011 at 3:46 am #837489Original, but not for me.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I host the feedback lists, which are maintained by drag0nfeathers.

She has a strange appeal, but still overall she’s not for me. She’s one of those pieces I can look at and enjoy, but I have no urge to purchase.
March 4, 2011 at 4:43 am #837491Oh no, a penguin griffin 😆
She’s very striking, and she certainly made me smile, but I’m afraid that Antarctic griffs just aren’t for me.
March 4, 2011 at 5:36 am #837492I love the penguin griffin. I think she’s cute! 😀
March 4, 2011 at 6:30 am #837493I’m not too crazy about the Penguiffin but I always love seeing new ideas!
Commission spots are currently closed! Please message me for details.
Please visit My Webpage to see my art and PYO's that I've done in the past!March 4, 2011 at 6:48 am #837494I’m not a fan of the female griffin sculpt so much.. but if a male penguin griffin comes out… I would love one of those, just for the cuteness factor 😀
March 4, 2011 at 7:18 am #837495(The wife LOVES the new unicorn)
& my Chocolate Rain came today! OMG, I was told a special drawing was to be put on the certificate enclosed, but I had no idea there would be that much detail! Impressed & astounded, I bow again, m’lady.
Did have a question though; other than previews for feedback given here & in Ebay for special items, what exactly is involved in choosing ‘the’ next (or to be) production color?

Ohhh take pictures! That chocolate rain dragon was my favourite, I’d love to see some photos of him at home.

I think part of that is Melody & co’s feel for what sort of color looks good on a large number of the sculpts as well, since some schemes that look good on small sculpts can seem too monochrome on a large on, or look quite different depending on pose as well. Obviously issues with certain paint colors have an influence as well, and production pieces need to be ‘simpler’ for airbrushing and mass production than LP or eBay pieces…
