The auction description on ebay is for wooing the bidders. This is a place for discussion, and we value her honest opinion, as does Melody, I’m sure. Artists require honest feedback…and it would just be dead boring (like Serpentine) around here if everyone was just “Aww, that’s so beautiful!” over *everything*.

Think you’re being too serious here. As KitsuneLady said, we tend to voice what we like and dislike here.
Also… you are aware that the person that said that the comment “should have been” for chocolate rain is someone that works with Melody at the factory, right? I seriously doubt she was trying to offend someone she works with daily.
Melody (and the Windstone crew) have a sense of humor. She herself pokes fun at what she does, as I poke fun at my own work. To take fantasy sculpture painted with crazy colors too seriously would be a crime.

My art: featherdust.comSome of the descriptions that went up on ebay were a hoot – you could tell Melody had written them. If I recall, the wedding cake male dragon had the eyes that gave her the creeps, so that’s why they changed on the newer sculpts… something like that, anyway. I love her sense of humor and how she can poke fun at herself. I mean, just look at the answer about not using resin.

If we are going to call dragons diarrhea colored, I think chocolate rain is the best candidate! 😀 A while back I believe I or someone else referred to Rainforest as “unicorn puke”, or something like that…
