I love the painting on the phoenix, but I really hate that crest. It should continue down to the neck, not just stop like that. It leaves a weird gap.
Having said that, if it came into the store…. I’d probably still buy one. 😳 I love painting feathers.
That Appy sure is nice, and I don’t tend to go for Appaloosas. But the best news was that we’d be seeing Phoenixes from Nam… YAYYYY!

The production phoenix is set to have the same crest. Melody doesn’t seem to read this thread, so if you don’t like the crest, you will have to tell her directly, maybe in the Ask Melody section 🙂

Wowza! That gorgeous Phoenix prototype auction got really exciting at the end. Congrats whoever snagged him, he’s a beauty!
(I admit, I did try, but it got waaaay too rich for me.)

Well, I got a good look at the phoenix master tonight and the crest IS NOT the same as the ebay one! It’s a lot like the original crest, but fatter, and it runs into the back of the neck so there isn’t any gap. I think it looks very lovely!
So that means the master is …. complete?!? 😳
